Ghosts stories and videos are fun, even if they aren't real.

One of my grandfathers grew up very near the Shiloh Battlefield, one of the bloodiest and most terrible battles of the War Between the States. Both of HIS grandfathers fought in that battle - on opposite sides. Anyway, when he was a child [ in the 1890s] he and his brothers would go over to Shiloh to play. The battle was about 30 years old at that time. they would never linger after dark though. Granddaddy said "Shiloh Hill is full of haints." They would see lanterns bobbing around like soldiers looking for wounded or dead friends or family members. In April, they would sometimes here the gun fire, cannons shooting, horses screaming etc.

Now, my own experience with a ghost. During my first year of law school, I lived on Los Rios Street in San Juan Capistrano, CA. San Juan Capistrano dates back to 1776 and Los rios Street is one of the oldest streets in California. the part I lived on was just north of the old part.

I was up late, studying, because I worked full time at real jobs all the way through law school. I became aware of someone, turned to my left and saw a woman coming down the stairs. She had shiny black hair - like obsidian and was wearing an old fashioned looking whire blouse, a black ornate vest and a beautiful, long, full cobalt blue skirt. Her face was turned away from me, so I never saw her face. She walked down the stairs and right through a wall.

I found out later that there had been several mysterious sightings of a Spanish Lady in that area, who would just disappear.

I never felt threatened by the apparation..she was there then she was gone.

Sometimes I'm amazed at how close we are to history. Cool stories

... but I got nuttin'.

Except for that time I went out one night with a crew of teenage ghost hunters. I think they were more frightening than any ghost. Srsly.

I went out ghost hunting last week. Still not checked the photos though.
I think the ghosts would have been scared by all the drunken falling over we did.

I'm extremely amused at the fact that I got two people with the video. The first time I saw that, I screamed.

So my grandmother used to be kind of an occultist - she could read tarot from a regular deck of playing cards (I know, I know, wtf) and tea leaves.

They had this clock that a crazy old man built... it never worked. Well, it worked when someone was going to die. It would dong several times, and then usually within two or three hours another family member would be dead. They took it out into the backyard and smashed it.

My daughter says she sees a man ghost all the time.

I wonder who it is.

Just in case you didn't see the video posted by Mukatsuku before it was withdrawn:

Quote:
A boy is pranked with a maze challenge. The ingenious game makes the player concentrate and is silent throughout the game, but upon completion there is a scary face and scream. It's enough to make anyone jump out of their seat, even when you know what's coming.

I did not do this prank or shoot this video. It is the original one that spawned hundreds of copycat videos on YouTube of people videotaping their friends and family playing the scary maze game and getting scared silly.

Do a YouTube search for:
scary maze
and you'll see what has resulted.

Try it yourself using the link below--it'll scare you too!
http://winterrowd.com/maze
Have fun!
I find it disturbing because the kid looks profoundly upset by it. I just hope that's a shitty brother behind the camera and not his father.

Maybe I'm a wuss.

Ugh I hate those kinda prank videos. I once was sent one at work and I moved my face closer to the monitor to concentrate, when the scary pic popped out I ran out the room screaming.

YouTube - Terrified

That looks like a restaurant in Kobe that I go to. To get into the restaurant, someone in your group has to put their head into a guillotine to trigger a sensor to open the door.
After that, many things jump out and then a cute police woman arrests you and takes you to your cell.

Last time I went, at 9pm they played sirens and mentioned that creatures had escaped and then people ran round in costumes screaming at customers.

At the end, the creatures came together with a birthday cake for a woman who was having a birthday party and they all sang happy birthday to her. Unfortunately, by this time she was curled up in the corner of the restaurant crying and screaming. Looked strange seeing creatures singing happy birthday to a woman who can't stop crying.

Here is a video to compare the different screams of different age groups.

First 2 16year olds - kyaa
2nd 2 20 year olds - aaaa and (my waist hurts) with a kyaa later
2 more 16 year olds - kyaa, yaa and yadaaa with a gyaa at the end
father and daughter - uwawawawawa (daughter is silent)
grandmother - vweee

You know, if there's ever a natural disaster or zombies rise from the earth while you're in that restaurant, you'll be in a lot of trouble. I'm not sure a restaurant that does that kind of psychological conditioning is a good thing

xD That's a funny video. I think our 'scream accents' are internationally different though, with the exception of the 20 year old age group.

That is a good point, especially since it is in Kobe where the worst earthquake in history hit....

Although I doubt if there is an earthquake or zombies that they will just scream - I am sure people will ask you to leave the restaurant too. When this siren goes off, it says "for your own safety, please do not leave your seat".
Actually, that DOES sound like earthquake advice
