The i-Player link is: BBC iPlayer - Traffic Cops: Dicing with Death

The 2 women are shown for the first 16 minutes of the show. 16 minutes of non stop W.T.F. The last 6 minutes also have an update on events after the fact. The woman hit twice was discharged by the doctors after 6 hours. She is tough.

This comes to mind:

That's not "tough". That's "Chuck Norris".

This is why cops in America get to carry tasers. Try that shit here and you're on the ground twitching in a matter of seconds.

I just wish we could convince the cops to limit their use of the tasers to people like this and not so much for abusing minorities and rowdy protesters.

The one who wasn't seriously injured was charged with a crime and spent a DAY in prison?

Advice for psychotic Swedish twins, don't do this in Florida. What she did is called resisting arrest and battery on a LEO (law enforcement officer). That will get you at least a year in one of our finest correctional institutions.

It's the phrase "Swedish twin sisters."

Attention, lurkers! They're not going the kind of bonkers you're hoping they are.

On a serious note.

What bothers me about this is the innocent people travelling down the road. If these idiots want to kill themselves, I really don't care, but the poor folks who are just trying to get to work or wherever pay a heavy price. I'm frequently on a motorcycle, and hitting a pedestrian on the freeway could easily be the end of my life. It would at least result in some pretty serious injuries.

Even in my truck, though, if I were to hit someone, even if they were crazy and high and totally to blame, I'd carry a pretty heavy emotional burden for a long time. I know I'd be second guessing everything I had done. What if I was paying better attention; what if I swerved harder; what if I was going slower...etc.

This kind of stuff ruins a lot of innocent lives. I wish these two jackasses had spent some time in jail and maybe had some other repercussions instead of just a slap on the wrist.

Exactly. And even if you're in a veritable tank of a truck, and not in much danger yourself, having to swerve could cause an accident in and of itself.

...resulting in more innocent people hurt. I swerve hard to avoid the idiot running blissfully into traffic, lose control and wind up in a head-on collision with a minivan full of children. Now several people are dead because I was doing my best to avoid some moron who dropped some acid and decided to play hopscotch in the left lane of the freeway.

The more I think about it, the more it bothers me.
