I did not get into depth there, looks very informative though.

I used Free Diet Plans at SparkPeople

It has an awesome database. You can put any food in there and it give full nutritional information. Excellent tool if your on a diet. I lost 40 lbs a couple years ago using this site. If anyone does use it, be sure not to use their meal planner. When setting it up be sure to check off the area that says you will plan your own meals.

I used to just enter the food through out the day as I went along. I am not good at planning that stuff. It keeps track of Calories, every vitamin, fiber, this, that, it is awesome. It calculated exactly what you want to be at daily to reach your long term goal.

You can even look up stuff like Mc Donalds Quarter Pounder. It will be in their data base. I never found a food that was not listed. Every store brand food, dressings, condiments, drinks, and anything else you consume. It is truly amazing.

Sparkpeople is very good. I used them the last time I lost a lot of weight. Then I got divorced and stress ate until I gained back about 50 pounds. Sigh. Why don't I just give up and balloon up to 750 pounds like those guys on tv that eat 33,000 calories a day. I've been thinking about going back and starting a new account there.

I love how the people on that show thought they only ate about 2-3k calories per day. It proved the concept that you objectivity and diet rarely share the same bed.

That's what's great about Sparkpeople. If you religiously enter everything you eat, it's stunning how many calories you pack in. When I started, I figured I was eating around 2000 calories. The first day I ate 4500. Logging everything kept me aware of how much I was actually eating, and I lost weight pretty easily if I ate between 1500 and 2000 calories. It wasn't hard to keep in that range as long as I paid attention to what I ate and avoided the bad stuff. It almost got to be a game with me. Trying to hit my calories became more of an interest than chowing down on everything in sight.
