Add your Twitter Feed! (Any SL related feed for that matter.)
I'm interested in the Second Life related Twitter feeds out there, but I'm reluctant to latch onto some because not everybody likes to be followed by strangers, even though they are twittering about interesting software.

So, add your Twitter feed if you don't mind being followed. Mine is in my sig, and I've decided to use it for mainly for SL because all but a couple of my RL friends hate Twitter.

If you didn't know, there's a New Media > Virtual Worlds section at the TwitterPacks wiki to which you can add your link.

Go to the top of the page, click Edit, and use the password/invite key: "project". Make sure you add your Twitter link to the right section.

Some other useful Second Life Twitter feeds include:

Twitter / snapzilla
Twitter / SecondLife
Twitter / SLGridStatus

The Grid Status feed is an excellent use of Twitter IMO.

Err, I'm not comfortable with totally random strangers adding me, but anyone from SLU is more than welcome to.

I am however likely to block anybody who adds me who I don't recognize from SLU (IE, I can't figure out who you are from your account) so if you add me and that's the case send me a quick message so I know who you are and don't block you from my list.

Well yeah, I see your point really. I'm just finding more value in Twitter as a SL networking tool right now -- from a social, events and service status POV.

Oh, and in case anybody didn't know, Ordinal Malaprop's Twitterbox is the way to Twitter from inside SL. I'm not sure if any other Twitter products exist within SL.

Not if you don't want it too.

Looking at an individual Twitter feed probably looks odd because you only see one person's ramblings, but once you've signed up and start following people, your Twitter home page lists all the ramblings of those people in chronological order (often directing messages to each other), and that adds a lot of context.

It seems more like an incredibly accessible chat room when you look at it that way.

You have the option to have the updates sent to your phone or just go to the Twitter website/reader to read them. I don't think they go to email but I can't say that for sure.

But I will add you as soon as I can!

I recommend anyone interested use Twirl, I prefer it a lot more to going to the website.

Yah twhirl is nice, if a bitch remember how to spell. The mobile version of twitter also fits perfectly in the profile web tab (Twitter). I'm on there (Not exactly hard to find) but I don't tweet much, mostly I use twitter to follow the grid status.
