Just have to go deaf for the annoyingly loud buzzing it creates.

Made me want to set it on fire. Herrrm might need some tweaking for home use.

i think with the outdoor stuff it is running on some kind of small gas generator. (at least it seems like it.)

the indoor stuff is running from an electrical source. (no generator noise.)

just a guess, though.

Guessing it had something to do with the power supply. When it was silent it was all hooked up, when it was noisy it was foot loose and fancy free.

No wonder the military wants some of these....imagine being on the front line and seeing those things coming up the hill at you? dear lord...with some armor plating, the only visible targets are the legs and they are spindly and hard to shoot.

Oh and ARMS!! It needs arms, it's gotta have arms. And hands with long fingers with sharp hooky things all over. Solve the noise problem, dress it up something similar to the last form in The Fly, and scare the piss out of some campers in the middle of the woods at night. :> They got the legs already perfectly freaky.

I'd just about shit myself if I opened the tent and the flashlight beam caught the hind legs of this thing disappearing behind a tree 50 yards away.
