I hesitate to tell you, but I've already sat more evenings on my balcony this spring, than I did during the whole summer last year.
We had a lot of sunny, dry weather and even 2 tropical days already.
Of course we had days with rain as well, but hey we have a sea climate, so we are used to that.

For tomorrow there is stormy weather with thunder forcasted though.

Huge thunderstorm here last night, was delicious until the atmospheric pressure made my migraines kick in.

Sounded amazing though.

Same here (Brit in Asia). I prefer anything from light drizzle to heavy rain, but without any thunder & lightning as our electricity system doesn't handle surges too well, to unrelived heat and a clear sky.
I wake up to a grey misty morning so rarely it tends to make me sing loudly over my first coffee.

Just had a nice little storm rumble through here an hour or so ago. I love it. I love watching the rain on the roof of the building next door, and hearing it against my window.

Hugs, Isabeau. As a Californian I am almost programmed not to complain about rain, especially this year when we finally got a really rainy winter. I've always loved the rain anyway. Our family business (where I worked from the time I was twelve) was a car wash. By the time I was in high school I worked a bit in the morning before walking to school and then for a couple of hours more after, until my Dad and I drove home. Just waking to the sound of rain coming down was so great, because the car wash didn't open on rainy days.

Take a trip to Monterey County. It's beautiful right now. The wine-growing region on the west side of the Salinas Valley* is still green from the extensive rains; the range on the other side is already brown, and will be until the rains of the Fall or Winter, if there are any.

*Which is incredibly pretentiously called "The Santa Lucia Highlands". It's actually the alluvial fans that have carried erosion from the slopes of the geologically young Santa Lucia range onto the floor of the Salinas Valley. Very pretty scenery, and fertile as hell (vineyards all over the place) but hardly 'highlands'. Those would be around 3000 feet higher, where the top of the range is.

for the first 5mins, sure. then you realize you'll have to shovel it, drive through it, the accidents it'll cause, etc ad astra infinitum. upon that realization crying and pleading are allowable responses

UK here and suddenly since yesterday it's been lashing down with gales and torrential rain and frickin' cold. It's so dam depressing as we were only just starting to see glimmers of the occasional bit of sunshine

It's pishing straight doon here. There was me thinking I'd get a nice bit of summer before I moved back to Scotland and the Scottish summer came to me.

We had a few dry days. One of the neighbours got brave and tried a BBQ, set fire to their fence, shed and nearly house 3 fire engines later it was out. Someone else nearly managed the same then the rain came on so heavy it was pitiful watching the smoke piffle out. Soggy burgers ftw
