Hm. Taking the attitude that a) there is "a clique" and b) you won't be welcome is maybe not the way to be welcomed on many threads or forums with open arms.

Of course there are "cliques" (plural). But on here I don't find them to be so closed that - as long as you don't rush in and bitch about things / opinions as though you are the New True Authority - they can seem more like 'loose circles of people with similar mindsets' than some sort of agressive hive mind.

I think you're probably right, it's just that it could be taken either way, and mightn't be seen as a joke by new people coming along. Also, there are people who need NO encouragement to take what he said as evidence supporting their theory that new people are given a rough ride here.

Well, he didn't succeed in sounding that way to me, and to others too.

Sure, humour is tricky to get across in writing but calling SLU a clique is... a little threadbare to be funny.

Clearly my stab at humour was a poor effort.

I haven't been on this Forum too long but find it way much better than the SL one. If i offended anyone please accept my apologies. I certainly do not want to deter anyone from this great place.

As an aside, i don't think that i know anyone on here, as in know them from in world but that makes it all the more interesting.Can never interact with too many people
