It's actually a contraction of my main account name, made back last fall when a truly bizarre thing occurred on the SL.com forums (long story). I have my same avatar-look on both accounts (though the pics are different).

Hmn, I'm not even sure if this will post. If it violates forum etiquette, my feelings won't be hurt by its removal. ^_^

In post #19 up there, I alluded to the reason for using a name here that's a contraction of my main SL account name (which is Ponsonby Low, as I've told those people who've asked). At the time there was a situation in which someone was following me inworld from the official SL forums and harassing me there, and I had reason to believe that the same thing might happen here. And I had just had enough and wanted to post on SL-related subjects in peace.

Anyway, that was the reason. Now I've come to like this name. (It's fairly common as a first name inworld, I notice.)

I considered putting "I'm Ponsonby Low" in my sig or in the other text bits that we're given to play with here (

) but I pictured the probable reaction of most readers as being along the lines of: 'oh? and I should care...why?'

Possibly I'm overthinking it.
