Happy Hello and a Merry Meet to all.
Today is my 2nd month in SL, and what an adventure it has been. It's a big place with a lot to see and do, I'm always amazed by how creative so many people are, and equally amazed at how they do it!

Somethings to note; It is a bit of a hard start to figure out how to work the viewer and avatars. I ended up buying official guide and reading it cover to cover so I could learn to muddle through. Still it seems everybody is able to work theirs smoother and with more expression than I can, it's an ability I envy.

Making stuff is cool! But you sure can spend a lot of time sizing and lining things up. Again there is a lot to learn, and unfortunately only so many hours in the day.

I also wanted to say thanks for all the good advice that the folks here take the time to write. I really didn't mean to lurk as long as I have it's just every time I started to write my introduction I would end up reading posts on the forum.

Thanks guys! And I do like pie, Free Xue mmm mmm good.

Ned I have been to a few NCI classes, and have been watching the Torley videos. The biggest drawback to classes is that they are conducted in chat so I didn't know how to save a record of them. I just found out about the chat history log, but have not accessed it yet. I tend to learn best through written materials, combined with hands on experience.

Today I have been try to resolve a problem with the new viewer, the place scene does not load up at the start, and when in land the trees are not demonstrating wind effects. I'm sure it's just a case of me fat fingering a command line, but I can't seem to get it back to default.

I am running the new 1.23.4 version.

Shoot, I've spent all afternoon mucking around with this problem, and today being my BD, I just bought a bit more land to play with so I'd quit running out of prims. So it goes.....
