There are a ton of them and they cover a wealth of information. They are also very easy to follow along!

If you haven't watched Torley's latest video, you might be suprised to know that he has toned down his effervescence somewhat. I think the new management (M) may have told him to tone it down a notch.

You can find out who gave you the money by going into your "My Account" page on the SL web site, then select the Transactions History tab on the tab bar on the left side of the page. The Transactions History will show you everything about the transaction - date, time, who, what, and how much.

Once you get their name, you can thank them.

Hello Bud! I'm new to this forum, but I run a website for new male residents. We have a page where I'm separating the Torley vids into categories for beginers on thru advanced users, and a lot of other helpful info. (tutorial pages are still under construction, but functional)

Free Finds For Men

You can also join our group in-world. Open SEARCH + click GROUPS + enter FREE FINDS FOR MEN in the search field + click on the group link + click view full profile + click join group.

I post new free finds and give away good stuffs that I find. In this group, I try to encourage anybody who has any questions to send an IM to the whole group, because there's usually somebody on hand to help you out. The goal here is mainly to get you feeling comfortable with your avatar, and feeling at home in SL.

Welcome !!! And you can feel free to contact me also.

Hi, Bud:

I started about a month ago, but I have no answers - big question, small question, completely obvious question, I do not discriminate in my ignorance. For creation and business, I can make a white cube really big and really small, but I haven't found a huge market in that yet. So as a mentor I would not be a good choice. But I have found the people here to be very helpful and most of the people in SL to be friendly and patient (and often horny, but that is another thread).

I hope you have fun and learn a lot. Then you can be my mentor.

Welcome Bud! I believe I can say without fear of contradiction that you've found the most helpful folks anywhere. If they can't answer it, it can't be answered.

Welcome, and well met.

The advice on video performance (FPS) above is sound, but something that often seems a surprise to people familiar with other MMO/FPS/RPG games is that the SL clock runs at 45 FPS therefore that is the highest you will ever see unless you are just camming around an already loaded, static scene.

Hi Bud and welcome. And if you want, you can add me to the list of willing mentors. Just drop me an IM in-world and if I'm online I'll be happy to help.
