Went to the Detroit Jazz Festival last night.

Saw Hot Club of Detroit. They do a Django Reinhardt gypsy-jazz thing.

Also caught bugs Beddow. Lat time I saw bugs he was pretty much a pure jazz guy. Now he's doing a r&b/jazz thing - he sounded r&b until the instrumental solos cut loose. This video is much more r&b. (He got famous around Detroit for playing "Purple Haze" on the trombone.
