My Mood: SL Join Date: May 2007 XBOX Leaderboard: 19th | I've seen both D'espairsRay and Dir en Grey live at Wacken. Love J-Rock and Visual Kei. At least the louder bands. Not a fan of the more poppy stuff.

| Account Closed | They really are. I saw them live in the early 90s around the time Riding a Rocket was released (years later than in Japan? I'm not sure). They performed Suzy is a Headbanger, and the crowd went wild. ![]() It's a shame their voices were overproduced in the studio because they have a wild, raw, buzzcocks kind of feel about them when performing live. Also, nobody mentioned the 5.6.7.8's yet? Wat? M.O.V.E. are my absolute favourite J-Pop/J-Rock band. I have all their singles and albums up to late 2007, and all of their videos (more than are available at YouTube). Not sure what's going on in that video. Are they trying to smash their way out of a hotel being circled by helilcopters after an earthquake? ![]() And of course, Takako Minekawa is an eccentric J-Electro god. ![]() |
