Mesh Bodies: Signature

I am only going to discuss the fitted mesh bodies from Signature at this time. Signature has some other mesh bodies that are not fitted, but fitted mesh is more advanced and will see more updates in the future.

Signature, by Mona Delpiaz and Raph Dirval, has two fitted mesh bodies - one male (Gianni), and one female (Alice). The male body, Gianni, I feel is an excellent product, and Alice is well made but more of a niche body shape that may fit more slim/petite shapes and standard sized clothing more easily. Truthfully, I found Alice's shape to be rather masculine, but it's been a long time since I've looked at it, so perhaps it's been softened.

Gianni can make a muscular but not overly ripped shape, and it has a near-perfect set of alpha cuts. Alice has gotten updated with many more alpha cuts, please note that the full review from MBA needs to be updated to reflect that. The bodies come with 12 skin tones included.

The HUD is very easy to use, nice and clean, and hand gestures come built in. The bodies are Omega compliant right out of the box, no need to buy an additional Omega kit (YAYYY!!).

I own Gianni on a male alt, and I really like this body. It is on par with Adam for quality and ease of use, and has its own set of advantages - a few more alpha cuts, Omega preinstalled, and now a couple more hand gestures.

Both bodies are priced at 3000L.

After tracking down every male mesh I could find and comparing them, Gianni was the one I went with, and I have been quite pleased with it so far.

My only wish is that the neck fix bit worked a little better with the old skin I'm still using for the head.. but that's more the old skin's fault for having a range of neck shadow that makes it impossible to match.

I'm running out of things to spend my Lindens on, so time to check this body out.

Imho... it's definitely one of the best non steroid freaked out forms, and the complexion/skin tone/detail is outstanding.

Perfect fit for a lithe/twinky elven avatar like mine.

Oh is it? I hadn't demoed this one yet because the biceps looked so enormous in the ad. I was looking at Adam and at the Slink one, both of which are quite nice.
I may have to give this one a try too.

I picked up the Gianni demo last night and was underwhelmed. The pecs were too sharply defined for my tastes, even when I maxed out the slider at sunken chest.

The groin was oddly shaped and soft focus, which created a disconcerting contrast with the sharply detailed chest. My skin appliers distorted horribly in that area; the default Gianni shape is super-elongated, which made the underlying groin issue worse, but even with a significant slider change to shorten the torso and hips, the figure looked off to me.

And I hated the HUD. The iPhone frame strikes me as completely foreign to SL immersion.

They can be, but I've slidered them down considerably, preferring a more "cyclist's" or "swimmer's" build.

I re-photoshopped up the pants I always use a few times, still need a few more passes at them I think before I'll be happy. I really do need to look into making my own mesh pants.

I never actually used the default shape, I think more by accident at first, since I'm still using my previous head/skin I didn't want the face to change, and other than the legs looking too long suddenly, I was generally pleased with the way my shape fit the new body.

And, as a 'droid' guy I agree. I'm not wild about the iPhone-clone HUD-frame either. SO much wasted screen space, even minimized... I only attach it when I need it.

Well, well, WELL. So the rumor about them not updating Signature wasn't true. I like this!
