Hi, I'm a little confused about your confusion re: forum avatars because it looks like you've already got that part figured out (your picture with George W. Bush and those other guys is your forum avatar -- and you were able to remove your other picture, the one with nipples, without any apparent difficulty).

Private messages are messages that are addressed directly to you, like email messages. No one else can read them. Visitor messages are messages that appear on your profile. This, for instance, is a visitor message. Anyone can read this.

Hi Waterisland! No worries, I was just thinking about the people who like to visit SLU from work. I'm luckier than some in that I work from home, but others can't have tits out on the screen, y'know? Not trying to be a nursemaid, heh -- and nor was I offended.

"Forum" avatars are different from "Second Life" avatars -- forum avatars are simply pictures that represent us and appear whenever we make posts on SLU. I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have regarding Second Life avatars, but bear in mind that while I do know a lot, I don't know everything and you may be better off asking the forum at large.

Hey,sorry about that. I think I must've suffered a 'Wardrobe Malfunction'. I probably should've known better,but rather than read the policies(they're so boring) I figured I'd just attempt trial and error. Didn't take long! I had just gotten the photo ystdy and was so impressed-thought I'd share it with someone. I picked the wrong forum-lol.

Hope you weren't offended. BTW, where does one get "Avatars"? Obviously I'm over 40, alright, even over 50, and don't know about such matters. Saw a banner advertisement on the sign-up page for Avatars(i guess that's what they were), the company wanted L350 (US-appx $650!!!!)-Maybe I don't understand something about them. Appreciate if you could assist. I saw your business(?) page for the clothing store(?-Church?) and noticed all your adv were avatars. Figured you'd know something about them.
