The wind shifted for us yesterday. What an amazing sight to see the sun in all its glory. And blue skies, yes blue skies all day long. It was gorgeous. Hang in there Rooke. It's got to end eventually!!!

Bleeeaaaccchhhh!!! 1/4 mile visibility today. The sun couldn't be seen until almost 8am, and it's looked like a tangerine all day.

We're doing better down our way. Still some smoke but we can see across the street now! Our town is still crawling with firefighters though. Saw about 30 of them last night decending on a restaurant.

Temps are mild yesterday and today but back into the 100's tomorrow. This will be the summer we'll talk about for a long time.

Omg, cough, cough, hack, hack! When are the fires ever going to end? I've inhaled so much pine and oak resin, I feel like a spittoon. On top of it all it's hot as blazes.

I've heard they won't get the fires out until October when the first rains come.
