Good try Lewis.
BC came to Liome one day as a female AV and insisted that she was not an alt of Lewis Nerd. Very odd conversation...

BC doesn't have issues. He has a subscription. Even though I've taken to him, after a fashion.

quoting Robin… “A couple of things to note…

correct me if Im wrong but isnt that almost word for word what was told a group of Live Helpers, just prior to closing it?

BC was my first slam over here on SLU about what - my second or third day in here?

It was during my rant about SL doing maintenance on Halloween (which they wisely postponed).

"and here I thought *broccoli* was just an annoying side-dish served over on the official forums" or something like that.

Still one of my favourite insults.

Just to get back on topic, sort of...

I don't post much over there but I do read a select few threads. It would be nice for the public face of SL on the internet become more professional but money is on it being a complete fustercluck.

Maybe it's not an alt but a secondary personality.

Which alt are you? Or is the proper phrase "whose alt are you?" Who are you really? Perhaps it's best just to ask "who's hiding behind this alt?" No, that doesn't scan properly.

Which alt do you use for yiffing?

Wtf?? There is no magic in what you quoted from my post. Khamon, you are AT most of Robin's office hours, and you see me there, so you should remember the one 2 or 3 weeks ago where Robin announced that there would be changes in the forums including a vBulletin upgrade, because a new community manager had finally been hired, and the forums would be the responsibility of that person. Is it not reasonable to assume, therefore, that Katt is the new community manager? JEBUS, man!

And as for me being an alt, lol! Well, I can point to my earliest posts on the official forums if you think I'm an alt of some better-known oldbie. They only go back a little over a year, and I think the first one might be about me not being able to figure out how to get green fairy hair off my head. If I'm an oldbie, I sure went thru an elaborate set of stupid posts to conceal it!

I don't think he was asking you if you were an alt actually.

But the mind of a Khamon is not for mere mortals to decipher.

So ok, I missed this whole deal but Luc told me who the new rezmods are and when I stopped laughing my theory is that they want it to explode to have an excuse to shut it down for good.

@48 We have guidelines for posting that reflect the norm for Internet forums. As part of this project we’ll also revisit the guidelines — to make sure they’re consistent with current standards, and to simplify them where possible.

Also, thanks to all of you who are adding ideas to the wishlist on the forums.

They are still listed as "new volunteers" not "a list we threw out" so I assume they will have some role.

Although god knows, it's typical for them to contradict their own blog post, lol.

The worst moderators I know are moderator volunteers. The thing is, the BEST moderators I know are also volunteers.

What happened to assigned moderators, as in those who didn't really volunteer? They tend to simply not do their job. They're neither very disruptive nor very helpful and have a tendency to disappear.

Serious volunteering to me means having a kind of willingness to do something. Therefore this evolves into a very bad moderator who causes trouble, but it also evolves into a moderator who does his job. Both the good and the bad actions require a willingness to perform them.

To highlight the flipside of your coin, an excellent moderator necessarily has to have a voluntary attitude about him. A designate can also have volunteerism in him.
