For those of you who don't know it, the VPRS was a listing of neat places in SL maintained by Higbee Protagonist, and distributed in kiosks in SL. There've been posts about its closing a few times on SL's forums, but I searched here and didn't find a mention of VPRS. Apologies if this has already been discussed, or if this is the wrong subforum.

The press release and final version of his list can still be found on the VPRS website:
Virtual Parks & Recreation Service - Final Location Listing and Press Release

However, Higbee says the VPRS website will disappear at some point. So to preserve it, I've posted the list in 3 messages starting at post 71 here:

SL Forums

I will probably make some notecards for a kiosk at the Forum Hangout in Allana once the website goes down.

wow thats a long list. Must have been one hell of a job maintaining it. I've copied the list to a notecard as well cause I've not heard of many of those places. Once, if!, TPs work again I'll go check some of them out.

Thanks Nika!

I have slowly but surely been making my way to the places on that list looking for nice places to take a special person *coughprinţesăninăcough*.

I am copying that list and continuing the exploration.

Dang, that's a shame. Indigo was one of the original locations on the list. Higbee is a great guy... here's a picture of us enjoying a beer a few years back:

That pic is great, Flip.

The places on that list are some of the best places I've ever seen in SL. The guy did a great job.
