"*ban*"

"WTF?"

"YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID."

"....???? goddamnit."
One day I had my greedy table removed and I was sent a warning. Luckily I was on and I messaged the linden and asked why it was removed since its a skill game, its 100% free to play and the only money moving on the table was from me paying the winner out of pocket. She said she would check and realized it wasn't part of the gambling ban and said she would clear the warning from my record. I was thankful that she checked for me and I wasn't just left with the ban, but I'm still pissed off at whoever AR'd me because I only use it to help newbs get money without camping.

Yeah, but seriously... You know, they let people stay in SL for AR after AR, but you know if you hadn't figured it out (And had more of them sitting out) you would have had a ban on your ass.

Slap on the wrist, unless you piss off a Linden - then say bye-bye to your account. AR's aren't worth shit.

the thing I - in a cowardly fashion - didn't add to Da Blog comments

The key to trademark protection is the "aggressive protection" of a trademark; failure to do so usually results in trademark dilution and loss of the special protection afforded trademarks. This aggressive protection is doubly hard when the mark has already become widely used by others.

Given the fact that Linden Lab is likely not able to aggressively protect a lunch bag, I wouldn't worry so much. I read a suggestion that instead of writing "Second Life" one should write "That thing, you know, with the stuff that barely works". I think that would be in keeping with the spirit of the new policy.

I now intend to use different terms to avoid legal complications. I shall now define them for everyone so that when I use them, you all understand what I am referring to.

Second Life: From now on I will use the term 'Seriously Lagged', abbreviated 'SL'.

Linden Lab: From now on I will use the term 'Loosely Legal', abbreviated 'LL'.

SLurl: From now on I will use the term 'Stupid Link U R Lousy!', abbreviated 'SLurl'.

I am sure you can understand why I need to do this, and trust it will not be long before everyone is up to speed with the new abbreviations.

I will aggressively protect my trademark to Joshua Nightshade, and anyone referring to me as Josh must submit themselves to immediate buttsecks.

Unless they're a girl, and then they have to turn over their husbands or boyfriends.
