Did he stick the heads on little spikes and left them around the garden as a warning.

My cats mostly just eat kibble. The lazy bums don't even go after flies.

Banshee sometimes growls at the door in a menacing ferocious manner when someone walks past, though. Does that count?

Zoey brought me a big fat spider a few weeks ago. I praised her effusively and then flushed it when she wasn't looking.

What?? You didn't immediately eat it? Tsk tsk. Shame on you. After she went to ALL that trouble to bring you such a tasty morsel. Well, don't be shocked if she never brings you another tidbit like that again. *harumph* (ungrateful hoomanz!)

Ours was quite fond of rabbit.

Preferably fresh. As in still kicking.

She took two at once one time and brought us the (barely) living one and held it down to show us. She'd left the decapitated corpse of the other out on the back porch.

Just caught up on this thread and I'm not sure if I am more disturbed that a cat apparently ate an entire Chihuahua, or that the people who were just in the next room ignored a tiny dog screaming as its life was being taken from him.

Whats worse is it didn't even get to make a last post

In their defense, chihuahuas aren't exactly known for being quiet dogs. I've been around some that would scream at dust swirling in the air, bits of paper, and molecules.

Our cat used to catch hummingbirds. All we'd ever find was the occasional beak....

What was worse, was we put a collar and bell on her to warn the birds and it made no difference. Eventually some well placed (read high up from the ground) feeders convinced the hummers that there were safer places to feed....

Thank you sooo much for posting this video! I adopted my first VKC dog from Vitolo in 2008. He was still involved with VKC at the time and people who didn't want their dogs anymore sold them (I think) to Vitolo and he sent IMs to the group when he had an available dog. I attended all the training classes, taught by Vitolo, at the time. It was fascinating how much these dogs could do with programming plus the built in AI. I was having difficulty with my dog at home (I lived about 600m up at the time and my dog was floating around...lol) and Vitolo came to my home to troubleshoot what was happening and solve the problem.

I took a break from SL around 2011. When I returned and headed to one of the VKC dog parks I saw an information board with the list of instructors and helpers and noticed Vitolo was not listed. I was very concerned something had happened to him RL. I asked one of the trainers who was present if Vitolo was ok and still involved with VKC and received a vague answer that was more of a non-answer. The gist of it was that Vitolo had moved on to other things, but, knowing how devoted Vitolo was to the VKC dogs and how generous he was with his time and help, asking nothing in return, I felt like there was more to this story.

My thanks to the OP for clearing up some questions that had lingered after this. And another thanks for posting this video; seeing and hearing Vitolo "RL" was great to watch.

I have to say that, personally, everyone I have met at any of the VKC parks, including Enrico, have been friendly and helpful. I am so sorry this whole situation occurred.

Many years ago we had a cat who was an exceptionally good hunter. We would find neat little bundles of ex-squirrel: the pelt scraped clean and folded over. Unwrap it and you'd find the severed head and a few of the less tasty internal organs. We finally had to find him a home on a farm, because the slaughter in town was too unnerving.

Currently, one of our Scotties has managed to kill birds. You wouldn't think a thickset dog with stumpy legs could do that, but she makes use of her wits rather than swiftness.

She waits patiently until the birds are gathered under the feeder, then rushes at them at just the right angle to flush them under some low hanging bushes. Inevitably some unlucky sparrow will get caught up in the branches and SNAP! Fortunately she doesn't do this too often anymore. I think she lost her taste for lowly birds after she managed to kill a possum in the back yard.

Why is this thread still going?

I once watched one of our cats catch a mouse in the kitchen, take it upstairs, and then I heard my little brother yell, "Cat! Don't play with your food! Eat it!"

A couple of days ago I was in my kitchen minding my own business. I suddenly heard my cat screaming so I ran outside.

I wish I'd had my camera so I could show you all a video of my cat chasing a big-ass hound dog down the road. Poor thing yelped all the way home.

Sounds like my bloodhound Buford; he's afraid of cats. 130 LBs, a bellow that can rattle windows and he's afraid of kitties.

One day my dog was about to poo and he made his typical movement spinning around and moving the ass in the proper position. He placed his ass over something that looked like a bush, but it was a small cactus with thin sharpened thorns.

You'd always think a dog would be smarter, but he insisted in shitting in the same position while he was raising once and again his ass in pain like he was being electrocuted because the thorns were scratching and pricking his ass.

Wrost and funniest shit in ages.

My cats used to beat up on a beagle that belonged to a friend of ours - poor thing, she wanted to be friends, but instead was scared of them [our border collie is the same, except the cats don't terrorize her - she's just afraid of hurting them]

Of course, the guinea pigs and hamster we used to have scared the cats. And the rat used to fish for cats by dangling her tail out of her cage, then trying to nip any cat who came close.

I Should Have Done This First

/note to self - Do investigation first - post after.

I stumbled onto this thread yesterday and, due to my personal interactions with Vitolo, added my perspective based on my personal experiences.

However, as mentioned in my previous post, I have had nothing but positive interactions with Blu, Aztek, Enrico, and many others from the VKC team as well. Something wasn't adding up.

Last night I sent an IM to somehow who is not mentioned in any of these posts, but who was involved with VKC at the same time as I, knew Vitolo, and someone I perceived as very genuine. I have not had any contact with this person (or really anyone from VKC) in years but felt s/he could shed some light on this.

Just received a response that stated Vitolo was not as he seemed, Dog is indeed his alt, and this person is aware of him having multiple alts, although not sure of all the names. This saddens me greatly since Vitolo was very kind to me. It also angers me to realize the vindictiveness Vitolo apparently displayed towards a wonderful organization within SL. He sure fooled me.

I am only posting this to update and correct my previous post on this subject. i would also like to take this opportunity to thank Enrico for the creation of his amazing dogs and those who build the community around them.
