My Mood: SL Join Date: October 2009 | Dreams of Second Life I had a really bizarre dream last night. I was in Second Life. . .not just playing on the computer, but IN the virtual world. I was at the AnthroXtacy "furry" club, which is not an unusual place to find me when I'm logged in. But Charlie Sheen was there. In avatar form, anyway. Oh, and it was a very nicely-done, realistic avatar. And he was wearing a fedora and talking about wanting to "get 'hip' to the 'yiffy lifestyle.'" That's when I knew. . .eating tortilla chips and spicy salsa con queso, and drinking a Jack 'n Coke just before bed is a bad, bad idea. ![]() Please tell me I'm not the only one who has ever had really screwed up dreams about being in SL. . .you can even lie and say you have, just to make me feel better.

My Mood: SL Join Date: October 27, 2007 Client: at the moment, Nirans Blog Entries: 3 | Night before last I had a dream that many of us were trapped in a school that was very much like a prison. I saw Joshua and a short blond girl that I didn't know tagging on the walls in the hallways. They did beautiful work, btw. I was amazed at their skill. Anyway, the woman in charge (she was a horrible woman) was trying to find out who did it and I pretended I didn't know anything about it. The rest of the dream, was just about how horrible that woman was to us.

nothing to see here - move
along
| I sometimes have this horrible nightmare where I have to get up, go to work, deal with housework, shopping, daily chores, arsey customers...... Then I wake up on my beach, with the waves lapping the shore and the dolphins playing in the surf, rez another beer and heave a huge sigh of relief ..... just another one of those terrible RL dreams..... |

| I have occasional dreams involving Second Life, and it's always me actually in the world. In the back of my mind it's just a VR helmet or something, but I never specifically dream about the how. Otherwise it's just normal SL only first person I can move around as I want. In the waking world I spend so much time in SL with multiple fullscreen script windows open, it's only in dreams I actually get to play it normally. SL also made me have quite a few non-SL flying dreams. |

SL Join Date: 2008 | I've had many dreams that took place in SL, where I was either in avatar form or RL form, or disembodied (as I frequently am when I dream). Since I'm a lucid dreamer, I was vaguely aware that I was dreaming about SL, but it didn't bother me enough to make me feel like waking up. The most annoying dream I remember about SL was one in which I had to cross a vast region on foot over mountains and lakes, etc. and it was very arduous. It's a bit ironic that I didn't think of flying. |

My Mood: SL Join Date: 5/30/2011 Client: Firestorm | I had a dream the other day that me an my partner where dancing at Bella's. Don't know if that is weird or not. I've started scripting in SL now. After a long days worth of scripting and learning code I will go to bed and I will start dreaming in SL code. This doesn't really surprise me much though. When I was programming in C I would goto bed and dream in C code. I actually fixed more bugs asleep when I was awake I think.

| Most of my friends these days are of the online variety. And I've been spending too much time indoors writing my Phd. As such, through lack of other input, sometimes I dream, not of SL, but more mundanely, about forums and instant messenger conversations. D; Come on brain, can't you at least produce something more visually interesting? |

| I often dream SL, though usually it's that SL-things happen in RL. I rarely dream that I am at an SL-place, usually it's SL-characters appearing in an RL-environment. And often I dream in English because of SL. Dreams are one thing - they don't really surprise me. I find it more unsettling when I 'think' SL when I am awake. In my early, very addicted SL-months I had a neighbour who was a giant green mutant. One day in RL i went out, and saw some guy walking towards me. I couldn't see his face because the sun was in his back and blinding me a little - but he was tall and wearing a very green shirt. And my first thought was "hey, there is Barry" and I was about to greet him. Then I realized that he didn't have tusks. |

Disruptive
| What's the worst is when you've been working like a dog on a piece (or pieces) of content for many, many hours/days and when you go to sleep you work on it in your sleep. Your body might have closed down, but your brain is still aligning textures, rethinking the way you're solving an architectural problem, going over what else you need to complete your packaging, etc.... Then you wake up feeling not at all refreshed because you actually worked all night in your sleep. Those nights suck.

| I dreamed, once, that there was a Staff meeting at work. All the people I work with was there..my supervisor, my coworkers, some higher ups were there too... but all them were dressed up like avatars in SL, and looked like newbies. Ahhh, if only... If only my mute button actually did work. |
