Thumbs up Fallingwater Cellardoor, a shining example of customer service!

Reading that other thread reminded me that I really should publically thank Fallingwater for the fantastic and fast customer service I received on Saturday night.

I tried to buy a pair of shoes at Shiny Things on Sat night just before Misty's party and when I clicked on the pay button, it took fucking forever to debit the L$ out of my account. Then, nothing happened. The merchandise simply wasn't delivered, probably because the transaction timed out! Anyway, instead of getting hysterical, I simply created a notecard, logged into my transaction history, made a copy of the transaction, copied it to the notecard with a brief explanation of what had occured and after renaming the notecard "Siobhan OFlynn" I dropped it on Fallingwater's profile.

I kind of resigned myself to wearing a different pair of shoes for the party, even though I really wanted the other pair! After TPing to Zor's place, I was kind of bummed that I didn't have the shoes I wanted. The next thing I know, I get an IM from Fallingwater and within minutes, I was wearing my new lavender spring fling shoes! I really couldn't have asked for a nicer or quicker response.

Thanks, Fallingwater Cellardoor, for being the gold standard that other SL merchants should be aspiring to!

This story would have been more touching if you hadn't convinced me that I needed to be naked at that party and you kept your clothes on, including your Shiny Things shoes. I think you tricked me.

I would like to think that this isnt exceptionally special. There is still a great amount of merchants around that do care, thank god.

I love Fallingwater's stuff, however she's dead to me for refusing to let me cash in my FIC points to get a couple of plants with mod permissions.

DOESN'T SHE KNOW HOW THIS STUFF WORKS?

Fallingwater is a shining example of everything, including pissing off Joshua for the entertainment of the masses.

While SL needs more professional and friendly merchants, it sure as hell also needs more customers like you.

Calm AND providing all the necessary information? That puts you in the top percentile.

Do you... *gasp* also read the instructions on things you buy?

From all the pics I've seen, about the only convincing you apparently need is "hey, Cris, why dontcha take off your clothes?"

My two cents: Fallingwater is a fabulous artist, a conscientious business owner, and a very nice and down-to-earth person.

Thanks, Verkin.

And yes, I do read the instructions on the things I buy.

I have the instruction manual for my Sex Gen Velvet Vagina committed to memory.

Yes, yes, but what about Cris? We need more people to wade in on the nekkid issue. Come on, Coco, I'm counting on you for an extended discussion of this burning derailment.

I have to agree here. This is really nothing special. I do this all the time, and none of MY customers even have the courtesy to provide transaction details.

As far as I'm concerned, this needs it's own thread so that Cristiano can throw Coconut and me out of it everytime someone posts a nakey pic of him.

I agree, it shouldn't be something special, but sometimes it's nice to post something positive. Also, Fallingwater is an immensely successful creator and is extremely busy, I'm sure. I was particularly impressed that she, as busy as she is, took the time to personally contact me and take care of my issue. It seems like alot of designers/creators of her caliber have hired customer service people to field inquiries and like I said, I was impressed that she took care of it herself.

I'm overdue with my Cellardoor anecdote. She won my undying appreciation when she dropped a pair of City Walk shoes on me as a gift. I had posted on a forum (pretty sure it was SC) that I loved men's shoes in terms of styling, but the sizes were generally too big for me and I had given up buying them.

The City Walk shoes were perfect, they're still a favorite of mine, and since then I've bought probably a dozen other Shiny Things shoes and boots and anxiously await her every release.

I'm glad to read this, as I own a dozen pair of her fabulous shoes. I've never had any issues or chance to interact with her. I'm making a resolution to start giving kudos when I get fabulous service, as those merchants deserve to be promoted and supported.

I love Fallingwaters work, I really do .. but ... and I feel almost ashamed to bring it up, but I so wish she made color changing shoes.

Why?

I can't afford to buy them all the different colors!!!!! /shame

I completely agree. To often we get consumed by discussing the negative and fail to call out those around us deserving a bit of praise. Thank you for reminding us to do this Sio

I remember when I was in her store way back when and I bought one of her pretty rose bracelets. Right after I bought the bracelet, Fallingwater said Hello to me as she was in the store at the time and I had not noticed. I said Hello back and complimented her on her creations and mentioned I had bought myself the bracelet as a lil Birthday gift to myself. She immediately sent me the matching necklace and ring and wished me a sincere Happy Birthday. I had been having a rough time of it irl and sl and I was completely surprised. It may seem like a small thing but it meant alot to me and really brightened my day. She has since helped me out on a few occasions and she will always get kudos from me and I will remain a loyal customer of hers. You rock Fallingwater!!
