The creator on those full perms items is laynie.

This proves that lalinda did NOT rip anything. How she got them is an interesting and mysterious matter, but the textures have clearly not been ripped and reuploaded

Edit: Are you sure laynie even knows how permissions work? I think you said she's new...

Edit 2: Can you try rezzing the prim parts and picking them up again, see if they're still full perms or not? If not, then it's likely an unfortunate ocurrence of the infamous full perms bug. I have two instances of this in my inventory, so I know what it looks like. The permissions will change back to normal and restrictive if the item is rezzed.

I'm not sure what to think. At this point, four possibilities come to mind.

1. Laynie previously released the items as freebies, and later changed her mind and decided to sell them.

2. Laynie's inexperience with permissions made her accidentally set things full perms.

3. A horribly ironically timed instance of the full perms bug, ocurring on multiple objects at once.

4. Lalinda knows a really nasty permissions exploit.

I will say that the third is highly unlikely, I can't speak as to the other possibilities, though.

Laynie made no mistake when releasing this dress. Apparently there are fun new ways to intercept things going around, and none of them have to do with downloading/re-uploading - hence the creator stays the same.

*shrug* I'm sorry guys, I didn't create SL, I'm not a programmer, I only know what happened and don't have much of an explanation beyond that. You have your pictures, and that's all I have to offer you right now.

I will say, however, that server-bound vendors have been known to change permissions on their own accord regarding contents. Iris had some of her stuff stolen because of this.

However, I think Laynie sells her items out of a prim - like I do, single prim vendors, no scripts - so that isn't possible.

I think we're looking at a very nasty new way to take things. (re: #4) ... her hubby is a, erm, developer on Open Grid.

I doubt it's an exploit. It was either incorrectly set permissions or a freebie; chasing down some suddenly horrible grid exploit is a bit of a stretch when the explanation lies simpler in the other two.
