| Security Device features It's finally time for me to get a security device. Here are two features I'd like to see: 1. Concentric security zones. At least two. One a wider "warning only zone" and the second smaller area within that is eject/teleport/ban etc. Maybe even a 3rd even smaller "panic room" that kills intruders ![]() 2. Option for the device only active when the owner/operator is within the scan zone. When I'm off-grid, I couldn't care less who's roaming about - I care more about my RL security measures then ![]() While I've started a search, I'm not finding both in a single product. Can anyone help me out? Thanks! PS: Maybe a third feature - the warning/security done in a whimsical manner, such as the bee swarm mentioned in the why use ban lines thread.

Business: SunBunny Creative Client: Exodus Viewer | So what happens in the warning zone, they just keep get spammed with warnings? Triple Labs makes something similar to what you describe. I don't think it will send continuous warnings though. I'm sure you could ask the owner, he is extremely nice and stands behind his products. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/15771 |

| well spammed, i suppose... but not constantly. just to let them know if they come much closer it's eject time. I suppose the warning period that most orbs have would do the same thing, but I don't want outsiders to be able to get into the inside restricted zone at all. |

My Mood: SL Join Date: late 04... that account is deleted now | I'm not aware of any that do either of those features by themselves... the first is easy enough to cheat with two... the second would probably require one that will accept commands from an owned object (which you could set up to turn on when it detects the owner, and off when it doesn't) could be an interesting project for someone to attempt though, since neither is particularly hard to do using the new functions.

Client: Nirans or development daily build | Only one I've used regularly is Triple labs system, and I've used pretty much his entire range, including the rather nifty grid-wide variant for controlling sensors on multiple regions from a single server (or multiple redundant ones.) Even the more basic ones can do the multiple zones, which can be any arbitrary shape provided you know the x/y coordinates of every corner. It doesnt do the auto on/off thing but you do get a HUD that allows you to control it from anywhere on the grid. You could use that and just arm it when you log in and disarm it when you log off. They aint the cheapest, but comparing my user experience to that of several others I would say they are one of the best. |
