well i have bloodywell had enough of this guy.. i have had to tell him three times before to remove me from his subscribo... and each time he does.. and then just puts me back on again after a few months.

I dont care if i went to his store last september.. it doesnt mean he can just keep sending crap to people because he feels like it.

very bad business practice IMHO...

I had that same problem with someone. I'm guessing your spammer is using an old type of object that uses a notecard list to send out notices. If for any reason you are listed (usually as a UUID with no name attached) on notecards in copies of this item in his inventory, then each time he rezzes a new one, you get the fucking spam! It's a really poor product in that respect. But used correctly, and understanding the use of the notecard and keeping accurate records, it's fine. This user obviously doesn't get it like the twat who i tried to explain it all too in my situation didn't.

There's a landlord who spammed me and my alt after we rented with her for a short time. She was a nice landlord, but then forever after I got endless notes about land sales, each time from an object with a different name. So that's someone I won't be renting from again.

Same here. Visited his store once ages ago and got regular unsolicited spam afterwards.

Also, and I don't know if he's still doing it, he used to blatantly advertise "Buy this on the MP and give a good review and you get a free gift!". Which to me is/was blatant gaming of the review system.

I don't understand why people continue to use obviously destructive sales tactics. One of the first rules of sales is do not annoy or alienate your customers. i manage a sim for a rental company. You land at my sales office and I'm in the sim, if I'm not busy with another tenant or otherwise tied up, I will tp over to see if I can assist you. If I'm busy I'll send you a IM. If you tell me that you are just looking, I just say that is fine and to let me know if you have any questions. Then I go away.

I want to buy a pair of shoes from you. I don't want to be endlessly told about a new color that you have.

it would be something if the people they spammed ended up spamming back..talk about eating up someones IM's..

if it didn't flood out my important IM's i'm sure i would to..but as much as i shop..i end up with a lot of these types of forced vacuum cleaner sales people that won't quit just eating up my mailbox..especially if they are the ones that send them out daily..

about the only way you can stop the spam is to mute the owner of the object that sends you this stuff if they keep putting you back on the list..

heck i had one IM me and ask me why i left their update group..
i told them i needed the space for a group that me and my husband made..
chewed me out for leaving her group..
i had to mute her because i had to shut the stupid off.. being upset with me about something that was none of her business..

she forgot about the k's and k's of $L i spent at her place..
sometimes you just can't go on with your business because they make it their business to eat up ours hehehe

I'm pretty sure it's the same person, though I don't remember such language being used. I distinctively remember there being drama surrounding someone purchasing a house or skybox? (I remember the photo of the interior, but not exactly what it was), and not being satisfied with it because they felt it didn't look like the demo.

That is exactly how to go about it. I can't tell you how many times I have been harassed by land owners when I was just checking things out. When that happens, I leave and put them down on my list of people to not do business with.
