Yea, maybe I was harsh about that- but what are people supposed to think? It has been 5 days since press day, even just a re-post of the maps would be nice. Sorry, but if someone was able to make it to the expo and pick up items, the least they could do is make a quick post about the Expo. I do not believe that is an unreasonable expectation.

However, I did not accuse any particular blogger of anything. I'm not calling anyone out because of course, things come up. Do I think something important came up for every one of them? Not really. Still I believe it would be unacceptable to name & shame. I saw how that hurt the feelings of one poster when BOSL did just that- I don't set out to hurt people.

On that note, I'm going to drag myself out of this drama pile and go focus on something more important. I have lots of thank you's to send out. And yanno, just to show that I'm not the big bad blogger h8r that people would like to think I am- Ima send an extra gift to every blogger on the master list- regardless of whether they blogged me, the expo, or nothing at all. And it won't be an item from my store or any other cry to "u must blog meh!". Heh

You can want it all day long, but you won't be getting it from me. It's pretty funny that you keep demanding what would amount to naming and shaming when that is what has you all het up in the first place. I might be more inclined to provide such info if A. I were a douchebag and B. If the intent of my post was to denigrate bloggers, not convey an understanding of reasonable expectations.

Yep, the expo vetted blogs. They probably vetted them what, 3-5 months ago when they vetted the merchants.

No strings, you just have a darkness in your heart that prevents you from seeing anything but bad in people. Your problem, not mine.

Sorry, I don't have a better explanation for why someone assumes that a fucking thank you gift is anything other than a thank you gift. I genuinely thought it was a nice gesture, but there is just no pleasing some people I suppose.

not badness love... i just perceive just a stong desire to buttlick for buttlicks sake. A notecard thank you is perfectly fine in the above situation. Yet you feel the need to post a dramitic arselicky statement as you flounce out a topic? It's not the gift per se... just the dramatic and flouncy need to post you're doing it. "hey look at me i gift others with things that i have to spend lindens on that i didn't make so it really looks like a real gift" JEez how over the top do you need to be to get your attention?

PS: You flounced...bugger off!

I can think of a ton of reasons to get blogger stuff then not blog about the event. RL decided to hit suddenly. [This can be things like, hit by a car so in the hospital, child hit by a car so in the hospital, loved one take a sudden turn for the worse, crunch time at work, internet out due to storms, house hit by a tornado, etc]

And those are just the more serious but rational reasons.

I'm not sure the assessment that merchants 'would be working on stuff anyway' is altogether fair; lots of merchants put together special work for events such as these which they might not otherwise do. Making special builds, exclusive fundraising items, spending time designing their exhibits, etc. Sure, some folks just plop down an abbreviated store build (i've been guilty of that at least once in the past) but by and large it's fair to say most merchants do make an effort.

With that said, it doesn't bother me if I am not blogged for any special gift; as an exhibitor at Home & Garden Expo this year, i didn't put out a blogger gift. I checked the group notices when I had a chance, but honestly I get so many notices if i did get one about the blogger gifts, I probably missed it. So as a result, I wasn't aware having a blogger gift was 'a thing' this year. I felt bad after the fact, but I've been busy enough lately that it simply wasn't an extra thing I had time for. If that hurts my chances at being blogged, then so be it.

But that's always been my stance on blog reviews of my stuff; I don't give out many freebies and I barely ever give out review copies. By the nature of what I make, my work is always on display anyway, so a blogger who doesn't want to spend the money but just wants to give an actual review could feasibly do so without buying the item (although doing so would be much appreciated).

I've always felt I'd rather have honest feedback from people who felt they really liked the work rather than feel entitled to a blog post from anyone who just happened to buy my stuff and happened to blog. Moreover, such honest feedback comes from actual customers who feel moved enough to respond and that is far more valuable to me.

I think it really is unreasonable to expect that all of the bloggers who took a review item have any posts finished and published just yet. It's a miracle to me that so many of them have done at least one post.

FOURTEEEEEEEN sims! Jeez!

I have found the bloggers I have interacted with for RFL / Home Expo have been amazing so I want to say thank you. I don't know about the ones Rosemary is talking about, nor do I care.

Organisers, Creators etc have put a lot of work into the expo, but many of the bloggers have also done so and we couldn't do it without them and their hard work too.

So nothing but positives that I have seen (and it's still going so there is time to still blog!). <3
