if you are foolish enough to where an object like that described in the OP, the you are just annoying yourself.

it's like setting up a dunking booth, a huge barrel of softballs and climbing in, then getting upset because people actually used the sofballs to dunk you.... well that's what they're made for!

So how long have you had this device and has it stopped people clicking on you?

Exactly. Need a quick breather at a random club to chill and show off your new stuffs before heading off to take pics of said stuff..and click on people randomly.

I've no idea if it would be doable or not, but it'd be cool if you could make one that instead of IMing the clicker and/or clickee, instead offers the clicker a notecard with a text dump of the clickee's Appearance/Wearing window.

Oh, that would be a nice alternative....I wonder if its doable? And make it much smaller so its not blocking people from clicking on the vendors and tip jars.

You'd have to fill out the notecard yourself (scripts can't write notecards) but otherwise it'd be a giver script.

Scripts can't read what someone is wearing either.

Having never seen anything that involved auto-generated notecards, that's exactly the answer I was expecting.

It just struck me as an amusing reversal on the typical anti-click shield.

That's for attached prims, not clothing.

I don't like the idea of handing someone a notecard of my appearance info. I'm happy to share LMs and store info on anything I wear, but my shape is my own.

That part of our avies *is* unique. Unless we bought it somewhere.

Oh I don't mean the shape metrics, I was talking about the "Wearing" tab, the one that's a list of the texture layers and assorted attachments on the avatar.

it'd be possible with either a custom client, or a bot system, but that's just insane...

And yeah, RLV. Until there's a better way to set an avie's rotation, it's going to be always on for me.

That rlv command just tells you what attachment points are filled, I think, in the form a list of 0s and 1s. You still have to turn it into something comprehensible, and even then it's just going to tell you the points, not what you're wearing on them.

At first, I wanted to disagree with you, then I just dumped the list to a string and inspected it and you're right - I had assumed it was a list of keys! But since I was just doing if(uuid), it worked anyway - I feel silly.
