Part of me subscribes to the idea that it's never too late to try to do the right thing and fix your mistakes. Sure, it's been screen capped, but taking it down would be an admission that it was completely wrong and in addition would take down the comments which in many ways are worse. Their "supporters" are doing more damage than good at this point.

Then another part of me hopes it stands. Second Life, for as much as it may seem we have long memories, tends to let some things fade after time and we end up repeating our mistakes.

When FFL comes around next year, might be handy to have the posts there as a reminder.

ETA - for example, a quick google of Frolic Mills shows this as the first result, from 2009 no less. So perhaps it is good to leave things stand, if we just remember to go back and look.

All those 3 posts should be imediatly taken down and a proper apology written, the thing Mr. Frolic has not understood properly should have been done 10 minutes after the first original article when up period.

I still have seen no explanation how this Frolic bloke posted an article under quella´s name, is he her alt? do these people share accounts and log in to post as eachothers?

ETA: if he is is alt. This is extremely serious since these two accounts have been saying very diferent things, and shows Frolic´+s involvement in this mess in a whole new light, if they are not but the BOSL and Associates Press people exchange acounts and write pieces in each others names is even more serious.

And I know how much time that can go if you get stuck with an outfit, you take pictures one place and don't like it, you try another location and then start to change the outfit, try new poses... Of course there are some who think blogging is all about tossing on an outfit from the folder and take some low res picture in a photosphere with icky poses from 2007. Just like the pictures the charming people from BOSL posts. No wonder they think it's sheer laziness, because they could post 100 outfits a day.

It's easy to be Captain Frosty when everything's ticketty-boo, but it is when things fail to follow our plans that we show the world a truer picture of ourselves. Sian, you started by admitting that you were disappointed in yourself and have done it again here, and I think (for whatever my opinion's worth in all this) that you've shown infinitely more grace about the whole thing than many people would have. For that you deserve a great deal of kudos and an enormous amount of respect.

sometimes volunteers are rubbish. That's why there are coordinators to help the volunteers. No one at FFL or BOSL assigned any admin volunteer to specifically be in charge of the blogger PR initiative for that charity event.

It was a major oversight on their part. And they want to scapegoat you and others for it. If these were paid event coordinators and they could not produce a spreadsheet showing which bloggers were recruited and the times before the event that they were contacted, those event coordinators would be considered incompetent and lose their jobs.

It is very big of you to take your share of the blame for not posting. It is more than FFL and BOSL has the integrity to do.

If volunteer initiatives regularly went about posting the names of volunteers on the internet to scold them for bad performances, there would not be any national volunteer programs at all because no one would sign on to work for free and be insulted by incompetent, unprofessional tools.

And your respect for Nave's right to post whatever he wants should not and does not trump your responsibility as a human being to immediately take action when cancer research fundraiser volunteers are being maligned on a website you have some control over.

For that, you should apologize to the volunteer bloggers for. (which you have yet to do).

I did admitedly sign my comment as pancake, however that is less anon than my SL avie name because it is the one name I use across several SL forums and Twitter. I also provided my email, which is my avie's name. I also provided a link to my blog which in turn has SLURLS to my breedables business. I know the link to my blog in the comments there worked as my blog shows ping backs from BOSL. A person can also look up my SL name here in my profile.

Besides, it's hardly like mine is the only anon comment there.
