Apparently there was a defect in the rc channel region code my land is on that makes RLV not work. Maybe I will try it again sometime but for now I have to deal with unstable ISP performance so SL is too frustrating to bother with.

This crap is how LL loses paying customers. People go to try something and it simply doesn't work because some monkey at LL crapped up the code.

There's a free tiny mesh female avatar, called Minikin (sort of like Petites, I think) with a color change skin hud from Caverna Obscura.

Thanks SpaceCase that's nice. Interesting that she said part of the reason she made it was because she wanted to make mesh clothing for petites but can't because she doesn't have the petite model available. That's too bad, I hope in the future yabu will let trusted/known creators use the model files. More clothing and items!

I'm just waiting on the deformer to make my own - well, its already half done, but I wanted to try and make one that was based on the default so that all one would need to use would be the default meshes to make things. And its for the same reasons, really - I want to make stuff, but can't get the measurements to do so. Want to be petite with my own face... >.>

I tried the Caverna Obscura avie the other day, and I wasn't crazy about the shape of her face. She's a lot thicker than I like also. That's not to say that others might not love it though.

I've been trying the tutorial HERE and got some pretty good results so far. I haven't had a lot of time to make what I'm picturing in my head yet, but I'll get around to it eventually. I'm pretty sure that sculpty feet and hands would shrink down to fit them too.

What are the current options for male petites? From what I can see there's the official avi from Yabusaka which looks a tad bland, the shape is great but the skin is very basic. The male avis from Fallen Gods which look pretty decent but are no mod?

There's also the alternative third party versions from Eleven Design, the Micro Mesh Avatar but this deviates from the "Petites" standard somewhat and would make clothing etc somewhat more of an issue. From what I can see there are now some awesome alternatives from the likes of Mynerva for female petites. Anyone seen any options for males, any skins etc? Can the skin be changed on either the default male petite avi from Yabusaka or the Fallen Gods avi?

I know that Caverna Obscura has minis, and I think some others are making their own - the problem with micros is they don't shrink down enough, and my issue with petites is that the mesh is more or less the same except for skin - no real shape variety.

I imagine if Qarl's deformer is ever accepted that there might be more - that make more use of the default shape for a more mini-me sort of experience.

The female Fallen Gods petites come with 3 different skins and a HUD to alter the shades. I've not played with it much because I like the default skins. I do believe the male is the same.

I haven't read the whole thread, so I hope this isn't posted already: I was in Grendel's Children yesterday and I noticed they have some things for Petites. I got the impression they were mostly mounts. I didn't look them over, though.

As far as I know, only the Yabusaka Petite has the option to modify it. You can change the skin by following this tutorial: YABU SIM: Guide for replacing skin textures of petites

Yes the male petite's from Fallen Gods come with the same huds as the female ones allowing you to change the skin shade. Haven't plaid with them much either as like I the default skins.

Discord Designs has a ton of prim beard styles that would probably shrink down okay. And for the person farther back who wanted more male options, I saw that ND/MD just released a new male petite. A super cute faun guy. Plus they already have cyborg and robot male petites (fem too).
