I don't think I've seen rigged boots for Petites yet, possibly that's why?

Oh, you're making petite versions of your boots, Jackal? Yay!

And I'm trying to figure out how to make my own petite body set to add to the mix - but while I've got the scale down, I used my own form and it doesn't work with the system clothes templates. So, fiddling with different body shapes to see what is the right morph settings [for compatibility].

I've got a good question for people, in the hopes someone else has managed to puzzle this out, but what are the morph settings for the petites? I'm trying to make a base for avastar I can use to make more mesh stuff on, as well as make sure if I imported a tiny mesh head for purposes of getting rid of the ears, it will go with the body still.

*arghs* Is there any way to get the morph settings for a mesh, to figure out how to make a mesh for it? Because while I can make a make up layer, it is be default based on my two options [my body shrunk down] or the default mesh shape shrunk down. I'm going to keep plugging at it, but right now it looks.....wierd [putting it mildly...]

ETA
Also, ever since I resynced myself on beta grid to have access to my petite stuff, beta hasn't really been working for me at all....

I grabbed the resizer this morning and shrunk down some hair from truth and worked like a dream.

I'm really excited to see new clothing stuffs come out and can't wait to see more 'normal' type clothes that go along with the dark/gothic/vampy look.

If you can get makeup working a lot of people are gonna be happy!

the closest thing I found to make up was that make up hud that goes with the Royale collection.

But no neat tat's for face or body on it just different make up's for the face, which is great but still not super diverse.

There are only 2 things I can figure to do as far as makeups. One is to have the Yabu Petite which is mod, and just put your own skin textures on them. Two would be to follow this link HERE and contact the creator to see if you can get a new head that you can mod yourself.

I might try doing that, but for this:

Quote:
Right now, custom mesh head ordering is limited for collaborating skin designers.
If you are a talented skin designer and intested in trying YABUSAKA Mesh Avatar, drop a notecard to Yabusaka Loon in world.
I'm not a talented skin designer - I just wanted to try making something akin to the system clothing layers, but for makeup. That and modding off the ears entirely and tilting the eyes up >.>

I will say that trying to work with this has given me a better understanding of rigged mesh. I'm tempted to make a compatible mesh avatar based on the default shape, so that when deformer hits, someone could make a mini-me pretty easily - except I'm not sure how the deformer will work with head/face yet. The one time I tried using a viewer that was supposed to have it, it didn't seem to make a difference.

It's sad Yabusaka Loon won't provide a mesh mannequin for 3rd party creators. I contacted him but he didn't seem keen on the idea. I had hoped he had based it on a SL shape, but he claims not.

I had a customer who wanted my harness for her Petite, but without having the form to size it to, I'd never get it right. Not without a lot of trial-and-error I'm not prepared to invest. Oh well.

Someone else will. Then the people that bet on absolute control of a market will fold. Same shit happens over and over.

Darien, iirc, there is a demo of the fairy....which is the same size for all the petites.

Maybe try that for sizing?

I'm giving some real thought into doing the work to clean up the default morphed avie, shrinking it down to half scale/third scale [about petite size] and supplying the similar templates for makeup, tattoos, clothing layers to fit both and letting people get the templates for free.

I love the petites, but it seems like the edge is for big named stores, rather than the smaller ones. I hope I'm wrong, but..... well, we'll see. I'm certainly happy with my purchase, but as a creator, its frustrating to be limited.

Hello!

Juicy Cafe is now Petites-friendly. Inside, you'll find dollish furniture dispersed among the regular stuff, so no one's separated. If you have any suggestions, please ask! Thanks <3

Yeah I could, but would still take some trial and error and atm I'm way to busy. perhaps if I find myself with some free time, I'll take a stab at it.

Nope, it's just a hangout area, but the Juicybomb sim is right next to the Petites headquarters.

YAY!!! Please do, I'd love to play around with that just to see what I can make.

I've been modding my skins to try to make them fit the Yabusaka Petite, but there are quite a few weird problems with the way they line up compared to SL's regular avie mesh. I'll post some pics of the difference for you all later.

I hadn't noticed anything yet - but my own thing is that without either a lot of trial and error, or the mesh body to work with for mesh objects, I just can't make stuff that works with them unless its just prim stuff. Which is fine - outside of doing the marketing images, I've got ears, tails and even a pair of boots that resized down really well [well - with some fiddling, anyway].

But I want to do some fiddling with the default mesh and see if I can get rid of the LL avie issues, especially at the crotch, and around the nose, and make prettier hands and feet. But I am working based on the default female shape, and I'll make a default male shape as well. Unfortunately, without knowing what's going on with Qarl's deformer, I don't know if I want to make a few different base shapes for male and female - or if I should just make the defaults and cross my fingers.

And with it being deemed illegal in TPVs until it is in Official....

I stupidly bought a living room set for Petites without checking the prim count. Holy prims, Batman!

I should have taken a picture - there were four Petites dancing on the DJ booth at the club my Petite DJs at last night. We were pretty damn cute - if I do say so myself.
