Sorry, I hold no commercial interest in this. My interest was in how they were combining the breedables idea with a gaming idea and how it could help LL's new foray into gaming on SL. It seems to have at least an entry level capability of an RPG similar to things like Adventure Quest/Dragon Fable, which have been quite successful. I think it will be interesting to see if it takes off and what its impact on SL sign-ups, retention, and so on might be.

How much are they to feed? That's the basic issue I have with the breedable trend, I just want to find new games to play in SL, not have a cutesy animal eating up script memory and L$ constantly.

I think breedables are dead for the near future at least. I made a ton of cash to pull out of sl in meeroos but they crashed and nothing else has come on that's worth anything.

I haven't even tried to sell one of my nests - I just got mine to have fun and see what I can breed. I like watching them hop around in their little area. [My meeroos]

And someone was complaining because the permapetter hadn't come out and I was pointing out that I didn't mind buying the batteries, even though I don't make a cent off of mine.

Meeroo's are awesome. Here is my recipe for meeroo potpie.
Ingredients

• 1 recipe pastry for a (10 inch) double crust pie
• 4 tablespoons butter, divided
• 1 small onion, minced
• 2 stalks celery, chopped
• 2 carrots, diced
• 3 tablespoons dried parsley
• 1 teaspoon dried oregano
• salt and pepper to taste
• 2 cubes chicken bouillon
• 2 cups water
• 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
• 1 1/2 cups cubed cooked meeroo
• 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup milk

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Roll out bottom pie crust, press into a 10 inch pie pan, and set aside.
2. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add the onion, celery, carrots, parsley, oregano, and salt and pepper. Cook and stir until the vegetables are soft. Stir in the bouillon and water. Bring mixture to a boil. Stir in the potatoes, and cook until tender but still firm.
3. In a medium saucepan, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons butter. Stir in the meeroo and flour. Add the milk, and heat through. Stir the meeroo mixture into the vegetable mixture, and cook until thickened. Cool slightly, then pour mixture into the unbaked pie shell. Roll out the top crust, and place on top of filling. Flute edges, and make 4 slits in the top crust to let out steam.
4. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and continue baking for 20 minutes, or until crust is golden brown.

I recommend Loch or Snowpaw from ages 5-12 days. They get a bit stringy after that, and the lower coats have a more gamey taste.
