LOL, Mourna. Ok, so now that the house is done, time to work on my AO.

I'd love to set up an AO with animated stands; I have a nice set of 5 that I picked up for free from somewhere, and I'd like to be able to use them.

Is it possible to put more than 5 stand poses in an AO? Does Huddles allow this?

And is there a "How to set up ZHAO for the complete idiot" guide out there somewhere?

Mourna, I may throw myself upon your mercy when I finally tackle this thanks for your advice so far...
You can only have 5 stands per notecard. HOWEVER - you can set up more than one notecard, depending on your mood. For example, I have a "confident" AO notecard, and all the stands etc are kind of bold, some are male stands. I have a "sexy" notecard, and the stands are more sultry and feminine. Just have multiple notecards, named appropriately, and all the anis in the ZHAO. You can reload the notecard as needed.

And I'd be happy to help you set it up IW Quip, just let me know.

For the record, I LOVE my Huddles. LOVE. It's indispensable for me. But it is expensive, and a bit complicated, so I think it's kind of overkill unless you're seriously into animations.

No, I cannot. At work now. However, I can say that it has two modes, one full open where you fiddle with all the controls, and closed which only has like 4 or 5 tiny buttons visible.

And you can move it to any part of your screen and it'll stay put.

Well .. what can I say to this? It was too hard to understand ....

Bri, you're a smart cookie, you'll figure it out. The ONLY "hard" part is the config cards.

And it's also the beauty of it.

You can have a bazillion animations in the thing and load different sets at will.

Lets say you have a regular AO set for everyday stuff, and another Geisha set, and another ummm stripper set or something. Yoou can have 3 config cards each with completely different AO sets, nad pick and chose which you want active on the fly.

Same with dances.

And poofers

and just about everything else you can imagine.

It even works as a chimera to invite other people to dance with you.

Huddles forever!

Yes, I use Torrids entire line of 15, it easily moves through all 15 and I can set the time that each pose plays for

Same with dances

1499 for the deluxe, BUT honestly, it's worth it just because it does so much, and once you get it figured out, it's so easy to use.

I adore my Huddles Deluxe, but I'd been in SL almost an entire year before I bought it. By that time I could handle the setup easily because I had already used the ZHAO before, although the ZHAO was never as indispensable to me as the Huddles.

The compact "closed" state is what I run with most of the time, but when I need some extra anims or dances, they are just a few clicks away. The Stop Animation is really handy, and I transferred over all my Greetings anims (hug, kiss) so now I have everything concentrated in one HUD.

I have an AO card for "Formal" anims when I'm wearing my tux and socializing in clubs and public venues. My "Informal" AO card is for lounging around with friends or going shopping.

Mourna gave me a Zhao in world, and 3 landmarks.
I bought two female stand poses from Cris.
I have some freebie female sit animations. I will review those and see where I am at.
Thanks all!

I have the HUDDLE Deluxe and have just gotten into programming it. I also have a child avatar, and put together the animations for her out of individual anims from different places. The programmed macros are great once you get into them, and dances can be done in sets cards.

Whoa! How you do that? There are only places for 5 on the standard AO notecard.

Well the huddles uses the lates franimations, like just about everyone, and on lines 1 to 5, if you seperate the animations with either a : or ; (I forget which exactely) it will playe them all, up to 5 a line. So, 15 animations for standing.

If you find, and buy, all 15 of Torrids standing animations in a pack, the notecard comes pre filled just how it's supposed to be.

ermm .. at least it used to ... I got it like a year ago.

Oh! A tip: look closely at your face when previewing a stand. A couple of stands I otherwise liked tilt my head down. But your eyes are gonna look where they're gonna look, so it comes off as glaring, or rolled back into my head, etc. Sometimes, but really not very often, a useful look.

I still use my Reverie Female AO and other than taking out one pose that I really hated, it's the same as the day I bought it. I bought a Huddles and loaded it with dances from Sine Wave, but so far, I haven't been successful at loading an AO into it or figuring out how to use it beyone clicking on a dance, sit or other animation I want to use at that moment.

I really hate configuring AO's. Editing the notecards is a bitch. If someone set up a service that would customize your AO for you, I'd gladly pay whatever they charged. Seriously.

Now - a related question.
I bought a "walk" animation.
I play it - I'm walking but not going any where.
When I try to move, I look really odd.
Is this just a matter of practice, or is there a trick I don't know?
