It might seem that way, but they actually do care what people think of them - hence why they astroturf their own site and send people to this thread in vein attempts to explain away the problems.

It just SEEMS like they don't care because they have been so deluded over time with weekly meetings filling their head with Kalel's nonsense that they actually think what they are doing is "ok."

Because of that, they completely miss what point you are trying to make when you ask insightful questions about their behavior. They take it as "oh look, this poor ignorant resident doesn't know what amazing work we do, here let me explain it for you" instead of "oh shit they are fucking pissed making good points and I had better tell them WHY we think this is ok"

For now, you can expect a period of silence followed by a long article on their controlled Krypton Radio blog where all comments will be deleted that are critical and a wave of supportive comments will follow (99 percent of which will be comments made by them under assumed names - they've been caught doing it before).

It'd be nice to see them try something original in response to criticism this time, though. I really wouldn't hold your breath.

As for those that think people posting on here with an axe to grind should be taken any less seriously than anyone else - I think that if the actions and comments of the JLU members here in this thread to date aren't enough to convince you that those with an axe to grind have a valid one, maybe reading something other than the lolcats in the thread will help.

I said it in the Redzone thread and I will say it here (although I know I am wasting my energy in doing so). It's too bad when people like this group hear legitimate concerns, criticism and complaints from fellow residents, instead of taking that information and making decisions/changes that would be for the better of everyone; not just for ourselves but for them too, they would rather act like this is a tug of war and stand firm and, as a result, most likely implode their group from within.

They do do good things. They don't need the real life information and wiki garbage. True good guys know when to admit they have made a mistake, apologize and change. I have more respect for someone who falters and admits where they went wrong and changes things around than someone who seemingly never falters at all. How can you claim to be the good guys when so many SL citizens feel threatened by your group and their real life data mining? We aren't upset and screaming out our feelings in this thread for good old fashioned entertainment. We are not the bad guys. We are genuinely upset. One person being upset, no biggie. Two people being upset, hum, maybe need a thicker skin. A whole forum worth of people upset, you need to do some heavy self examination.

I'm wondering whose ass he pulled those 'statistics' on the make up of the GZ group out of. Really he doesn't seem to get the fake GZ folks running around griefing while posing as actual members. The fact that he believed anything zFire did shows his complete ignorance of the situation.

This also shows he cares very little, if any at all, about anybodies privacy. I'm starting to wonder how many of the supporters on the RZ forums were JLU people.

Well, and good morning to you too. As the person who was listed as the top poster in the first RZ thread and one of the top five, I believe in the second, let's put this in perspective for just one brief shining moment.:

1. My RL ID is known, and not even remotely secret. It has never been secret. I write a weekly column on another site under my real, given wallet name and I link it quite publicly to my SL and internet IDs.

2. All my alts are known- in fact the only 2 alts Ive ever actually used were my bank alt Ischade Stratten, and Oopert(resident) who was logged in on June 15 2011 for an event(Oop is named after my cat- it was his birthday and we collected money at a charity event that went towards the medical bills of Charles Rehill of the band Lost Signal's family- the receipt for that money going to the chipin fund was posted for all to see.) That's it. There's no alt abuse, no secret alts. no nothing.

3. BDSM- while that is what I did my thesis on, it has *nothing* to do with my SL or in fact my RL. It's just what I did my thesis on.

4. Ageplay? No, we don't even allow child avatars on our sims- period. I don't want to be around kids IRL, I damned sure don't want to be around people pretending to BE kids in SL.

5. I guess I fall into that 5-6% businesspeople thing. Well that, I can't deny. SL for me is absolutely about business first, but the fact is that the reason that I jumped the RZ thread so hard is because there was nothing about me that was secret. I wasn't hiding anything. There was nothing to expose. I didn't have to worry about that sort of retaliation. So it was much easier for me to say something than someone else who didn't have that luxury, as they had more to lose.

Im not a member of GZ. Never was. But from where I'm standing it looks a lot like KalEl is talking out of his ass.

It's all a game to these bozos. They see it as a challenge, the more personal the information the better. They present the information they've gathered with gravitas. Look at the conversation about the false IP's. One member puts forward that having this information will make it easier to find a geographic location.

In the guise of doing good, these people have created a monument to amorality. I use the word amoral, an absence of morals, because they neither acknowledge that what they're doing is wrong, nor do they care.

I think his support for RZ principles was correct. However as PhantomZone came close to release, RZ became a competing product. How fortunate a Linded got it removed from SL.

I wonder how many of the RZ users are now PZ users. That would make interesting statistics.
