I was gone for less time than I thought and you guys still nearly got the ten pages in. Good job.

I still like how they keep skipping over certain points. Especially my requests for pictures or video of the user end (the JLU user end) of the phantom zone in effect. Also that those pictures or video need to be from before this whole thing blew up. We know how ego driven they are so we know they had to get some screenshots of their accomplishments, hell even GLE keeps pictures of his griefer busts on his blog.

Not to mention all the new information that got leaked. I'm waiting for something along the lines of "It's not PZ that is gathering the data it's XXX that is gathering it, PZ is just a means of dispersal. Uh well yeah XXX is part the PZ system but it doesn't make up it's entire function. Therefore not all of PZ mines data but only XXX does and um...."

Just read over on the Krypton Radio site where they reported Saban had LL pull all Power Ranger merchandise for copyright infraction.

Hmmm... y'know maybe somebody who is good at writing a bussiness style email needs to drop a line to DC comics along with a list and links showing all the of the very unethical and in some countries illegal actions they are taking while wrapped in DC comic character names and costumes. Now THAT would be golden if they took action would it not?

I left a comment (didn't pass moderation, surprise, surprise) "hoping" that DC and Warner Bros. didn't get wind of this tactic.

I just got done watching a nice movie and thought I'd check back to this. I made that same comment, yet again, on that old KR topic a while ago. It didn't pass moderation, for probably the seventh time. I just wanted to see how stubborn they were, and it's pretty obvious now that just because I continue raising an argument against them they will never approve it.

I at least thought that persistence would pay off, they let one through before after I posted it a second time. Anyway, just in case any of the JLU that are stalking this topic feel like replying, I'll leave the comment here instead.

Thankfully I left it laying about in a text doc so I could just copy and paste it. Oh, in case it confuses anyone else, it is in response to that whole wiki theft aftermath topic, when Carter started trying to cover their asses about it.

If I recall, and while this IS just what I've heard, I'm not gonna go for that "Don't believe everything you hear" thing, I've heard it one too many times in arguments elsewhere involving other people, you did contact websites or public servers that hosted this information offshore and asked to remove the information, and they didn't.

So, here is the question. If that is indeed what happened, am I to assume that you are right and every public domain hosting the wiki is wrong? And regardless, whether that happened or not, does every server within the US deserve to be sent a DMCA and threatened with legal action over this?

I am not looking at this event from a pure technical standard, I am also looking at it like a sensible person.

If the arguments put forth are anything to go by, I've heard from the JLU's own members that there was no big deal with the real life information hosted on the wiki because it was private, and because it was apparently publicly and legally obtained information. However, they exclaimed that it was not okay to have that public information...er...public?

Look, I do see the bigger picture. It's because it was your private wiki and it was publicized to everyone without your permission, that's understandable. What's not understandable to me is, I've heard tons of things about threats of legal action while the event was going on, every public link except some offshore hosting sites that hosted the download for the wiki were DMCA'd and taken down, I saw one put up on a public website and removed a mere hour or two after it's apparent creation.

All of that, over a bunch of age old notecards, chat logs, notices(believe me, I read the entire leaked contents, much of what was in there was literally as old as the days of the PN's middle or even younger days), a list of the usernames of players you consider griefers, some real life information. Heck, the only thing I see there even worth defending in a lawsuit or any type of legal action are the leaked chatlogs of the JLU talking with Lindens.

And I've tried doing freelance work myself in-world asking the JLU's members about this(real hard to find you guys, only maybe several of you publicly show up on the group charter), trying to get your side of the story. Other than one person that was willing to actually talk to me, most of them never responded, treated me during the conversation as if I was beneath them, or blocked/muted me. Or a combination of the latter two. One that did mute me told me beforehand that you guys had an actual attorney for this occurrence, and that the attorney told him/her to refrain from speaking information on what was going on on your side.

My point is, no matter how much of a point you have here legally, this was, to be blunt and maybe slightly impolite here, a wiki hosted by a superhero avatar wearing group that patrols an online game and defends against those that troll it. Regardless of the technical standpoint, was it really necessary to get as riled up as I saw about it?

Gigantic wall of text made, time to get a drink and watch some more evening tv. Might check this again later.

The amount of effort needed to make me tall enough to do Wonder Woman effectively is a HUGE hassle and MURDER on my feet, even if the costume is awesome(and leather.)
