(I am really disgusted by what i have been reading that you have shown, I mean i get the gossiping and all we all do it. but they JLU members seem to have taken it to a whole new level.) The Heewee apology was very interesting, basically he has admitted that the JLU has used underhanded methods to do their justice. That should be very relevant to the Labs.)

I ditched woodbury and basically vanished off the face of the grid for 2-3 years. I've stuck my head in this week for a brief look in at the drama petri dish, and it with simultaneous sadness and amusement that I find the same people still mired its sugary gel.

Ignore everyone and the problem goes away. Tis magic.

Let's see. I guess one point to stress would be that this is, on the face of it, considerably more serious than some unscrupulous scripter trying to make a quick buck out of enabling jealous individuals to spy on their partners.

On the contrary, if it is true the JLU leadership have been engaged in the long-term distribution of these things to members, without any sort of admonishing about keeping with ToS when using them, that constitutes a quite deliberate and systematic disregard for the ToS and incitement to misconduct on a very large scale, particularly since members have apparently been encouraged to report back the results of their ToS violations for publication in an off-world wiki with a view to organising further invasions of residents' privacy, both in SL and RL.

In view of the gravity of offence, if it can be established, a full investigation of the devices' capabilities -- present and past -- seems in order, as does the use to which JLU members have put them, individually and collectively.

they are constantly breaking this rule over and over..because they believe they are one person like some corp..when they are just a clique gossiping to each other like cliques do..

But... and I think this is important - her false statements (otherwise known as lies or at best ridiculous accusations ) such as I've seen her do a couple of times just today - are not something easy to dismiss. Like accusing Lucifer of unqualified diagnosis, or (much more trivial but irritating) trying to insist I no longer build. Simply untrue, and also simply unnecessary except from piling on the vitriol.

Yes, she's baiting. Not 'pushing back' but baiting. I fully agree.

But the thing is, ignoring her red herring accusations could lead people to assume there is truth in them, and that NOT responding is tacit admission. So we fall for it (me included).

She's clever, I'll give her that. But nuts.

But yep, time to ignore her for me but if she DOES tell lies or twist truths about other people, then I think it is understandable that they respond.

You're assuming Prok has a credibility that's not really substantiated on closer inspection.

If you've ever lived in a town with a local lunatic (care in the community I think it's called these days) who stands on a street corner and hurls accusations at people as they walk by, then you know exactly how to deal with Prok. Even the lunatics can be right occasionally but their credibility is non existent so even if they managed to introduce you to the alien they'd been screeching about in between the abuse you still may not believe them.

Except I never underestimate gullibility. Some people tend to see the batshit insane lunatic on the corner as some sort of divine being with mysterious insight into Hidden Truths.

But let's hope there are none of those on SLU And I think there is little doubt left that Prok is definitely a few fries short of a Happy Meal.

Which will go nowhere unless you can get law enforcement to care enough to take action on anything to do with avatars in tights, you can get (succinct, initially) proof that there is criminal activity involved, and find somebody prepared to come forward and take responsibility to be the contact point.

A reingineered wiki is interesting if it brings clarity, but the very fact that is is reformatted could (I said *could*) indicate tampering. So it would be necessary to compare the original with the 'prettier' version anyway. And forensic computer investigations are heavy on time and resources.

Moreover, if the wiki is (now) stored on the cloud and not physically on a server, the question of whose legislation is applicable could be an interesting one too.

Just saying.
