Probably the same reason as another one listed earlier talked about the person having vision problems? It is information about someone's RL, pure and simple.

Probably also because it can annoy people. A lot of people come to SL to get away from their RL: disabilities, bills, living situation, and so on.

As someone else with epilepsy I agree with you. An individual's medical information is between them and who THEY choose to share it with. Callously spreading it around can affect employment, insurance, and all sorts of stuff.
