Watching the watchers.
| Make it move above ban lines. IDK if the screen shots showed, but did all the objects have the same number of scripts? It is simple to add a script to alter function.

It would STILL be without permission if it was the sim the JLU claim, one of the Antiquity sims. Two reasons: 1. This was apparently just recently discovered, and it's been a few days since the big man in charge of those sims declared they wouldn't tolerate JLU presence or affiliation period. Clear indicator that they shouldn't have left a radar/sim mapping/avvy tracking device in one of those sims. 2. Even prior to that, I recall the ambassador saying that they only allowed the JLU one branch office in one of their sims and for them to train the estate managers and the primary people in charge how to better defend against griefer attacks. He said in that Herald article that he specifically said in the past to them upon their alliance that they would not accept patrolling or spying in the Antiquity sims, that the JLU were just there to provide knowledge. As such, even if it was in an Antiquity sim, it was in a sim that they were told since the very beginning not to spy on or patrol. Which means they failed to comply with the owners' wishes.

and the objects themselves are no mod so unless he somehow copybotted the thing, made changes after reimporting and then locked it down to look like the original then the scanners he's using are clean. whilst I wouldn't put it past him to do this as he seems to have no sense of right and wrong, I do think it's unlikely that even he's that crazed.

| If the JLU wiki entry on Tux, quoted way back in this thread, is at all accurate about the area he's from originally, it's not far from where I was brought up. "You was" for "You were" is a not uncommon local usage up there.

But the most worrying part for me was that I was told under no circumstances, do they have a method to stop all traffic or prevent all traffic from hitting my site from all their servers for a period of time. Something I would consider a basic preventive measure to stop alts coming back and doing the same, BS I know but if you read what Soft told Kalel it sounds like soft put in place some filter for him specifically. Or did I miss read what Kalel and soft said? and he was just saying that he'd have no more issues from those prims? my point is I felt bullshitted too at the time and exposed to having to do the rounds again and even more so now, but not much I can do as it was resolved by removing the prims, but yet he gets a first class service beyond premium resolutions, while Linden Lab allows it's self to be wide open to having it's servers DDOS random sites with no way for anyone whose not premium to get a fast "turn that shit off" resolution. I suppose most outside services would filter and block the traffic, but I was on a low grade provider plus I was using it for my own script stuff so the guy had a hard time figuring out what to block and not to block. But being reliant on expecting an outside service to understand how your virtual world spits out traffic, why and how to contact them to stop it is negligence to everyone on the web, not just SL residents who use the service. And even if they got the url like .lindenlab.com or what ever servers run on and they phone them up, do you really think Linden Lab will have a clue what to do? more so now they outsource? ![]() [edit] Dear Rodvik, Give us the ability to put a verified blog/site in our profiles link that is checked like Google webmaster tools, and allows us to TURN OFF any traffic that does not come from a NAME or ALT we choose or from a list of customers pulled from our marketplace or other such "she/he bought it" list. A private inSL web-filter list for merchants/bloggers to block/whitelist names, alts, or anything sending script traffic to our sites, from any server Linden Lab owns, put the power back in the peoples hands.. to block it at your own simulator firewalls. Standing right behind you...
| I found they were very hard to select, but my impression was that even if you did nothing, they still dissapeared in a second or two. It did feel like they vanished when you selected them, but I think what Sione describes is right.

It is possible either Soft prevented communication to kryptonradio.com or Kalel blocked the IP's. Either way, their inworld comms are rendered useless. I also note that the JLU added one member to their ranks last night. No doubt someone who is addicted to drama (Tsu?).

| I just went and tried to post this on Rodviks MYSL, turns out either I'm banned from doing so, or it's got some "approve list", not sure because it submitted but it didn't show up. Quote:

| Coin-operated ![]() ![]() ![]() | Why the proposal to go hunting all over a parcel to find these Connover probes? The claim is that the only reason the probe could survive on the unnamed Antiquity sim is that it was rezzed at the far SW corner, using some exploit (that is apparently "well known" to everybody but me). So, unless the claim is that this exploit actually works everywhere in the sim, why are we looking everywhere in the sim? Also, either this exploit lets the object escape auto-return, or auto-return was not set. (And, if auto-return was not set, either nobody looked at the About Land list of object owners for months--not a wise way to manage no auto-return land--or else this exploit also lets the object hide from About Land but still register in Top Scripts.) And that's just the probe object itself, not the "sensor" gizmos that it temp-rezzes. This exploit also lets the object rez other objects, even without permission? Or is build enabled for everyone on this sim? (But... build enabled with no auto-return?) We -- or at least I -- need more information to assess how much of this is exploit, how much standard operating procedure for a sleaze-addicted superhero, and how much poor land management practices. |

| ![]() Was Kalel's response 3 months ago to the following video (re: jlu wiki leak 2010): Oh how funny that in such a short time the JLU are once more exposed. This time a single point of distribution steadily leaking all the secrets that was once missed many more since. |
