Basically I snuck a mole into the group after collecting refrence letters from well established residents and forming a support team to assist the mole. When the mole got in we took that entire wiki of personal information, scripts, batshit personal conjecture and leaked the entire thing. The whole operation took a couple of weeks from initial planning to execution. The drama lasted months with Kalel going around DMCAing any site that had it up, including the SL Herald and Prokofy's blog.

It was a rip of the internal JLU database that I was just referring to myself. Someone got access and downloaded the entire thing. The JLU has a private wiki that they update methodically with a level of information that goes beyond stalking.

My friend Tux runs a blog and we had a JLU member that would sockpuppet using different names without bothering changing his IP or using a proxy. We knew the entire time and just let him ramble on for a month and get his jollies until we outed him.

The fact that this appears to have been happening for such a long period of time is probably the most concerning. I know of one account in that list which was banned before Emerald. Which means this harvest was taking place during the banning of Emerald, the scandal of CDS and more recently the banning of zFire for his RedZone IP harvester.

With all this happening why haven't the Lindens prevented the JLU from doing it?

Why allow one but ban another?

I would like to see an official response from both the JLU (although I have blogged what my guess would be) and from Linden Lab themselves.

I'm not too upset about the leak personally, but my primary feelings re: disturbed are that there was so much of it by the JLU in the first place. And I was apparently hardly a blip on the radar, look at how much they have about people they really had a problem with. If the leak hadn't been done by you, the danger would have still existed anyway. The JLU shouldn't have been composing all that in the first place.

It was pathetic enough when I was under the impression Kalel was some teenager living with his parents.

Joshua, if you (or anyone else for that matter) would like your information removed, I will do this gladly. I have done this for anyone who have asked.

I too would like to apologise for any harm done. I would also hope you understand the content as a whole was needed to show the continual abuse of 'normal' residents information the JLU repeatedly mine.

Unlike the wiki, this time the JLU have been shown by their true colours. The firmly believe in knowledge being power, and they grasp at that power with both hands. Through all this people should remember they are self appointed, and as such have no authority inworld!

Actually the personal information is probably pointless in redacting, since I don't live in NYC anymore and my real name is well-known anyway. Yours isn't the only mirror active anyway, right?

If anything I'd rather have the emails and chatlogs removed, as neither myself nor Mudkips gave anyone involved with the JLU permission to upload them to their wiki. I didn't even know that ZATZAi had done that until the original leak happened years later. I was never asked if that was okay.

It's more about the principle by now anyway though, since that stuff has been out for a while and anyone interested in reading my completely boring gtalk chat with Mudkips has been able to since then.

As for the list, it looks bogus to me. Why is Kalel Venkman the only JLU member on the list? I've placed several Phantom Zone nodes here and there, and I've been within range of several more. Why is my name not listed anywhere?

These guys made a list of names, but it came from their own database, not anything owned by JLU. JLU doesn't collect IP addresses, because that is a violation of the Terms of Service.

That is not a violation of the Terms of Service. It is a shitty thing to do but not a ToS breaker in any way. Though you do frequently seem to have an iffy understanding of the actual Terms of Service, and seem to rely more on personal values for filing abuse reports rather then what actually breaks the ToS.

And I have absolutely no reason to believe that this is fake, and am more inclined to believe it is real due to several people I know actually being listed on the original Pastebin IP leak and the IPs matching up with their own.

Please tell Kalel that he is an asshole for talking to Masa friendly to his face then going behind his back and ejecting everyone from the w-hat group, something that I have seen people banned for in the past.

While I do believe you do have good intentions as you are one of the more approachable members of the Justice League, you cannot deny the wrongdoings of the group. The internal disestablishment of a group, filing reports based on petty disagreements. Kalel emailed me personally and stated quite clearly that he reported me for disclosure for posting chat logs on a 3rd party website, something that is not even remotely against the Terms of Service.

Denial was the first tactic of coping with the wiki leak. The fact remains it is a populated list of IP addresses and it is claimed to have come from PhantomZone. And as for the JLU's interpretation (sorry some of the JLU member's) of the TOS, well pot and kettle right?

Also as I said to you in world, it is not uncommon for the creator to whitelist their officers but leave themselves off the whitelist for testing purposes. I myself have done this many times.

I know the PZ has a whitelist. Just try banning yourself GLE. And I know that you also have a global black list which even overrides the land owners wishes. I have tested it with a friend who has PZ installed.

Of course I am not knocking you. You are in fact a good guy and I would hope we can remain friends despite being on opposite sides of the coin as it were. But I do think perhaps you aren't given the whole picture by your superiors. Maybe it is a need to know basis. IDK.

It's hard to claim that Kalel is anything besides a troll. Him along with a certain faction of his group use tactics that are straight up trolling tactics. Kalel tries to maintain that he is doing this all in the name of "Justice" and the greater good. I also remember the multiple times that Kalel has dusted off the corpse of DeadlyCodec to prance about with no other intention than upsetting any resident who knew him when he was alive. That is downright ghoulish behavior. It doesn't make any sense for a "peacekeeper" to say or do these things.

The whole w-hat interview that Kalel has up on his blog is an infuriating example of the JLU's penchant for fucking over people while acting like nothing is wrong. I believe the trust that people put in JLU members is misplaced and the only reason they are still around is due to people's laziness, stupidity and gulliblity. Kalel needs to stop using the internet as his own personal metropolis, someone will get hurt if this behavior continues too long. Kalel is unhinged and a danger to himself and society.
