I'm not entirely sure you read the whole thread because aside from the multiple comparrissons to the wiki denial there's several people in this thread talking about how the JLU has harassed them and their groups including a link to an article about how the JLU got banned from furnation for harassing their admin. Even if you can discount all their vague/question dodging/iploggery the JLU is still waist deep in harassment in this thread.

Also after reading what I missed while sleeping I really agree with Huns on the external Locus of control. It's been 3 quarters since my psyche class but the second he said that I realized he's completely on the money about that. They'll never admit when they're wrong even when it is right in their face telling them. They blame others for everything that's why they're the JLU.

Yes, but haven't we pretty much seen all that before? The question remains whether the specific IP address data with which this thread began actually came from JLU (and specifically from Phantom Zone).

There's a distinct lack of substance here. There was the observation that their supposed domain name was among those that should be blocked by a media filter, during the RedZone clusterfuck. There was, of course, a denial that Phantom Zone even uses IP addresses or outs alts. Then there was some confusion about hashing IP addresses, and geolocating hashed IP addresses -- all for the benefit of people who can't geolocate fucking Colchester.

I'm intentionally being a skeptic, but what I see are some modest lists of IP addresses, of unknown provenance. Yeah, it would be a smoking gun if the data were clearly traceable to some group or other, but it would also be kinda pathetic: RedZone scale it ain't.

All I get out of this entire thread is that there's some spandex-wearing, self-proclaimed authority figures running around and that - far more importantly, people (and it really doesn't matter who - anyone at all can be not what they seem - and usually are) are still using the media hole to suck up IP addresses for -whatever- purpose they have.

I only see a need to put more pressure on SL to require every viewer to have a filter turned on by default and to provide warnings anytime anyone tries to connect via media.

If these yoyos are doing it, others are too. And if they stop, others will continue. The problem has to be addressed at the defect level or its pointless.

That would be nice and if phantom zone does not harvest ip's then why not show some source to it? Its not like a scan tool wont scan if people see it. I just really don't care too much to read more of this
