I have passed the test already...this is me standing next to my mesh chair:

mmm - is that a chair in the post-impressionist 'spheroid' style?

First big black ducks and now walking chairs - sounds like mesh will be a very scary place!

I just do this to understand the rigging limits better. Cause if we can rig it we can animate it

The chair is a very basic item, if we can rig that we can rig all sort of creatures.

I see there are 5 people in the Mesh Sandbox regions on main grid - but I can't get in.

If you wish to get in on that I strongly recommend you use an alt you don't give a damn about. I'll wait until many others sacrifice themselves on their bent mesh spears and it seems stable before I bother with it.

Got there now but it seems like the questionnaire for main grid uploads is still not available.

Properly read the group charter before joining it, though.

I've downloaded the latest Mesh Viewer and I see everything correctly now... Upload with weights seems to have been disabled :/

ETA: no it's only disabled when weights are broken.

Dose anyone know what third party options currently work for mesh backup. I imigine that people will want to test their mesh items on OpenSim sandboxes or beta grid before paying 150-200L for upload fees.

Build Result

Choose Cygwin for Windows or Darwin for Mac (Linux is self explanatory).

They have just changed something to mesh so other viewers might or might not work.

For opensim you will need the version 0.7.2 (you will need tortoiseHG for that), the latest viewer works with it too.

You can also test on Aditi, the beta grid, where you should have around 40k in cash.

Latest news from the Black Duck:

I managed to get a cage around it - thankfully we also have 64 metre prims available!

Oddly the texturing doesn't match the number of repeats it should, but it should hold for now.

You can also take your 64m prims outside of the mesh sims where they will behave like megaprims.

Apparently that duck is to Collada as hippos are to Linden. (It was uploaded by Oskar Linden)

That quiz should be presented to everyone. Especially to Prok, since she has declared war on Creative Commons.
