It's my understanding that they threatened to start doing this in '08 but apparently finally followed through today. I would advise anyone with a "page" (musician or otherwise) to add a rl administrator quick before it's too late. If you care, I don't.

What is so amusing about it is that the example they give of a 'Facebook approved' page is owned by a Facebook account of an sl avatar.

Btw, I have a "page" for my old rl band. I can tell you without question that there is no way to log into that page directly, you must log your administrator account before you can access it.

They'd have to work with LL I suppose. It's also pretty obvious from the "likes" on their page which are avatars.

If facebook deletes my avatar's account, I still have moolto and slu to socialize on. Still, it's a really stupid idea they have to force you into using your real name. I don't really want to have my real name connected to my second life name. 'Tain't nunna nobody's beeswax.

Apart from the name Sredni Eel, which is obviously not a real name, and unless someone reports me, I figure i can probably make it through the zombie apocalypse tomorrow.
