I got that same message a couple of weeks ago as I was shoppin' around (I use Imprudence), in addition, I kept being told I was now being ejected from the sim. Except I never got ejected.

I turned off the media, I never listen the music in second life so it's not a problem.
I still don't know how I could understand if the shop where I am is using this system...
Landing in some shops these days I saw a pop up on my screen that asked me to turn on my media...I declined but I was curious to know if it was because the owner was using the red zone!

For curiosity's sake, I decided to try a demo of Red Zone.and, incidentally, it did scan me, with media turned off, but cookies enabled (need to try it with cookies turned off, now)

- I hear it has been removed from the Marketplace, but it's still available for sale at the guy's store.

From here you can access each of your zRZs, add names to your grid wide ban list, or set up individual safe lists.

More than a few times people have clicked the "Scan Mode" button that switches from the "Visitors Welcome" mode, into "KIll Visitors" mode! As the title suggests that will kill anyone who is a visitor! Do NOT use Kill Visitors mode in your shop. It will kill your visitors! I have added a warning to remind people what that is in case you press that button. I have warned you. Read below for more.

IN ~VISITORS WELCOME~ MODE:
The system will scan for copybot users, people you have banned, alts of people you have banned, and alts of copybot users. Banning them when found. Everyone else is fine. There is no need for a safe list in this mode other then to also grant people on your safe list control of the zRZ via the web. Under the "Options..." button you can set it to kill visitors without payment information.

IN ~KILL VISITORS~ MODE:
The system will attack anyone that is NOT on your safe list.
The attack will include an eJect, and TP home that may result in crashing the victim.
Under the "Options..." button, then under the "Kill Mode..." button you can turn on or off the TP home, Ban, Orbit, and Unwelcome modes.
Note that Orbit does not require land owner permissions, and will pull people into the parcel and Eject + TP them home if you do have land permissions, and they were outside of your parcel.

(GROUP MODE)
From version 4.0 and up this function is now only available via the website.
Go to zF RedZone System
Select your "Settings" for the RedZone you wish to control (You may have more then one)
and check the box "Visitors of the same group as zRZ are considered safe"
Anyone with the same group tag as the zRZ will be "Safe" unless they are on the copybot ban list.
This function is only meaningful in "Kill Visitors" mode when all visitors who are not on your safelist will be killed. With group mode active, it is a bit simpler to control a large group.

(NO PAYMENT INFO MODE)
From version 4.0 and up this function is now only available via the website.
Go to zF RedZone System
Select your "Settings" for the RedZone you wish to control (You may have more then one)
Check the box "Kill people who lack payment info".
In this mode, people with NO PAYMENT info will be killed.

(AGE KILL MODE)
Go to the zF RedZone System website,
Select "Settings" for your zRZ you wish to control.
Set the minimum and/or maximum age for avatars to be killed.
Turn on minimum and/or maximum age banning.


--------------------------------BLACKLIST option!----------------------------
A Blacklist is a method of allowing everyone NOT on the blacklist. This is just an expression, and the word Blacklist will not appear anywhere within the system.
To set up a blacklist format, simply set the zRZ to the default "Visitors Welcome" mode with the "Mode O/X" button. This will set the zRZ to only attack people using copybot and banned people. Thus a blacklist mode.

--------------------------------WHITELIST option!----------------------------
A Whitelist is a method of not allowing anyone except the people on the "whitelist". This is also just an expression, and the word whitelist will not apear anywhere within the system. If you would like to block everyone except your friends, Set the zRF to "Kill Visitors" mode with the "Mode O/X" button. This will set the zRZ to attack everyone who is not on your safe list.


5) For easy use of your zRZ, you can Rez a few "RedZone Remote Interface" (zRZ-RI) posts anywhere in your sim. You only need one zRZ in the sim. However because a sim is a big place, or your zRZ is just hidden away: You may want to rez a few zRZ-RI posts in your common areas to access the controls of the system from anywhere in the sim.

6) Go to "Options..." >> "Kill Mode..." and select the killing method you would like.
Ejection is standard and always on. Ban, TP Home (To remove them from the sim, not just the parcel), Cage (cages people in case you have no admin perms), blood and bones and weathor or not to add them to the unwelcome list, are all optional.
If they are added to the Unwelcome list when killed, they will NOT get any warning next time,
they will be killed on site! Even if they are NOT in your RedZone! Up to 96 meters away, or full sim if you have full sim mode On. At this point, someone with control over the zRZ would have to remove them from the ban list to reverse it.

This is a highly aggressive system. ; )

Advanced API (Application Programming Interface) Option for custom integration to anything, for programmers who understand useage of channels to create their own add ons or plug-in attachments. No support is offered for API use. It is intended to open the door for custom use. I do not offer tech support for creations not made by me.

To access the API menu click your zRZ, click "Options", then click "API data".
You get a random channel, can change it, and find what it is.
This menu is for the original owner of the zRZ only.
You can turn on or off the API.
You can set the data to transmit as a whisper,say,shout, or region say.

Do NOT set the zRZ to "Group Mode" and set the zRZ object to "none" group. If you do, the zRZ will avoid attacking everyone without a group tag.

If anyone believes that this system is scanning the contents of their hard drive, let them know that it also takes a blood, urine, DNA, and stool sample as well.

The protection is for the individuals as the LLC is considered an 'entity' unto itself. Meaning, that if sued, your personal assets are protected - your company's assets however, are up for grabs. Of course assets include 'profits' so might consider stuffing that mattress.

Guys, I just had a terrible Tinfoil Hat Moment.

It just occurred to me, that people don't want to be scanned. But they still want the awesome products many stores with RZ are making. By the Lab's not taking any visible action against RZ... are they trying to simply drive more traffic to Marketplace, and discouraging inworld shopping? Or is this far too devious for them to have come up with (and gee, thanks for handing them the idea, genius.)

I wonder...I don't think anyone should take legal action against RZ's users, as a general rule, but if someone did, would they have any liability?

Meanwhile soon there will be no need for magic boxes and sandbox artists can have SLM stores and never pay LL anything but commissions. LL is migrating towards eliminating in world commerce. So they can get a cut of everything.

As for rz part of it? LL is backing them up. I can't wait to see what LL says about media blacklisting options in TPVs. The hand will be forced.
