Meanwhile, in world, at least one large region owner is catching on & banning this from their sims. Although not from anyone who rents an entire sim alone, but from any sims that are shared...this is a step in the right direction IMO.

The region owner in question, is doing so because after much testing, DOES NOT WORK IF YOU TURN OFF MEDIA & is a LAG FEST WHEN IN USE. This owner has sent out a notecard & IMO this be will read many many people in world.

.....no idea what the percentage will actually read but am happy some in sl are taking note.

Usually i don't participate at forums due my bad english...but i have something to explain. After remove the RZ from my SIM (N-core/Heels region), my company have decided keep from our ban list "the one who started the whole GreenZone project" ( so defined by herself ). The reason is simple, we have evident proofs that she is the same person that has copybotted our work some time ago. I'm giving LL a week to say something about this issue and if they don't I will complete my viewer blocking patch and give it to the TPV's. LL can then watch all their new Viewer 2 users jump back on to TPV's.

I'm only waiting because I haven't really got much time to finish it at the moment and don't want to waste that time only to find out LL actually does something. So if anyone else wants to pick up on the idea and run with it be my guest.

Yep. At the moment it is a hardcoded whitelist reporting the blocked urls to me. I have always had media off because I don't use it in world so it's not effecting me. But for general use I still need to tie it in with the filesystem and make the dialogs.

Hi Marx, i made the screenshots in my own sim when i found Andromeda Sawson wearing copybotted items from my store created by herself . In consequence, Andromeda Sawson account was quickly suspended by Linden lab after our report. All this happened before that "Anastasia Howlett" start with his Greenzone project.
When i discovered that my redzone has banned Anastasia Howlett because was an alt of the (copybotter) "Andromeda Sawson", and i checked that each profile was identical, i sent the screenshots to Zfire Xue.

I'm sorry you to hear you were copybotted Nuria. If you read around these forums, you'll see that threads pop up frequently about copybotted content and many users help to trace the original creators so that DMCA notices can be filed.

FWIW, I believe those screenshots are more likely genuine than not. If they are doctored then it wasn't done in Photoshop. I know there are other ways, but I just think it's very unlikely.

Still, it would be very interesting to hear the other side of the story.

Give this issue enough time & it's going to impolode on itself.

Has become the Hatifield & McCoy feud on the grid. Friends against friends, merchants against merchants, neighbor against neighbor, dogs & cats........!

Anyway, I've also heard of a few heart breaking stories of people being outed etc. & actually leaving sl because of it.

There are some nasty people out there & I can see nothing positive coming from any direction here.

IMO, 99% of the users of this tool are using it to discover alts of people they know....you can count on that! Be careful what you seek, you may not like what you find.

I'm not sure many of these users have thought things thru here. Surely a lot of THEM don't want their alts known either..... All I have to say to them is, Karma is a bitch.
