My Mood: SL Join Date: November, 2003 Blog Entries: 1 | Favourite Parcel Streaming URL In times of doom and gloom, these favourite threads always cheer me up. What's your favourite parcel streaming URL? Mine is playing in NW Taber where I'm settling down as soon as enough trees sell to afford one of Kismet's Ashthorne Manor houses: Ancient FM - Commercial-free Mediaeval and Renaissance Music

My Mood: | I hope I get what you mean here...but the Pixel Mode sim plays the BEST music in my mind Thats if its not changed from the last time I was there. Its a gorgeous soft piano kind of music. I usually have my sound down because of being at work or people around at home but when there I treat myself ![]() http://pianosolo.streamguys.net:8030/live

| M2 is a French operation with some fantastic genre stations. M2 Analog, their 80's station, I find particularly great as they broadcast an unbelievably broad selection of music. I find myself often hunting down songs for my own DJing when I listen to it. | SomaFM for me, too, on my own parcel. "Groove Salad", "Drone Zone" or "Tag's Trip", depending on mood. ...and it turns out, I already had Khamon's stream bookmarked from the last time I went to Fate Gardens ![]()

| There are several XRM stations, and I really like the Techno XRM at http://94.76.204.91:8100. One of the very first stations I was turned on to when I joined SL was Radio IO Ambient, but I can't find it on Winamp now. They played the most amazing world music/jazz/ambient stuff, kinda like Groove Salad or Drone Zone (http://scfire-dtc-aa06.stream.aol.com:80/stream/1032) in some ways. ZenRadio FM is pretty awesome too! ZenRadio FM

My Mood: SL Join Date: November, 2003 Blog Entries: 1 | Fate Manor was my original build in Taber back in the day. I have another name in mind for my retirement home. The trees, at least a rotating selection of them, will remain available exclusively in The Botanical Gardens as long as they don't bite Isablan's toes. Oh double doh for me as well; we ain't got no toes! I may package some tree sets and list them on whatever the Lab is calling their rerereorganized shopping site next month. Maybe, we'll see. |

| For it's soft and gentle sound with a classy bent, I like Martini in the Morning: SHOUTcast Administrator There's a station I heard on Sirius that I would really love to put on a stream in-world, but I doubt it's available. It's called The Coffeehouse and it's all acoustic.

Client: Exodus Blog Entries: 4 | I love Martini in the Morning too, but the ads are pervasive and I have zero tolerance for them. I use SomaFM's stations exclusively on my sims because there are no ads. I also subscribe to Soma to help keep them that way ![]() My personal favourite changes with my mood but the club radios in Dissolution revert to Lush when the club stream is dropped. Groove Salad, Beat Blender & Sonic Universe are the most common ones we tune into on Decadence when one of us isn't actually streaming our own music, which we do a lot, especially when we're working (ie building, photoshopping etc). I actually listen to SomaFM outside of SL too, via WMP. |

| Radio Polska http://91.121.89.153:9900 is one we listen to the most. I tend to listen to this one: http://komplex2.psyradio.org:8030/ whenever I try to build. We use to have a guitar music stream that was quite nice but we seem to have lost it. Last edited by Sunshine Carami; 06-09-2010 at 07:55 PM. Reason: odd link |

My Mood: | I've been using this one forever. It's meditative at times with light fusion jazz sort of. There's no breaks for commercials or any talk. I don't remember what it was listed as but I did find it on Shoutcast. Icecast Streaming Media Server Enjoy! edit: I see that the name of the server popped up after I copy/pasted the url. :-) |

Business: Organica | Also putting my lot in with SomaFM, though here are a few others i fall back on as well. Radio Paradise is an old standby with a great variety of tunes. I've occasionally heard music from folks who are also live musicians in SL played as well. Radio Paradise - commercial free Internet radio - modern & classic rock, electronica, world music & more - picked & mixed by real humans. Radio Nigel is a reasonable standby featuring 80s rock: SHOUTcast Administrator The Weasel, i would say, is a mix of 80s-90s rock? It allows for requests as well. http://relay-1.weasel.net:8230/ |

Business: Kitty Kat Construction Client: Imprudently Ascending like a Phoenix through the Snowstorm | I like the SKY.FM music services, and I'll bounce around between its streams depending on my mood. I have a shoutcast player on my desktop so I can listen anytime. On my home parcel, I usually keep it on SKY.FM's Love Songs channel.
