You already have little control on how they see you.

Just look at how lighting is handled based on graphics quality. Avatar looks and quality can change dramatically depending on how good your video card is. Personally, boob bounce isn't nearly as much of an issue as that.

Besides, keep your boobies small and they won't bounce much no matter what they do. Go big, and you are asking for a black eye.

Not to mention right click > derender. And using functions other viewers can't see (You can use an alpha mask in Cool SL, but someone on 1.22 won't see it. Happened to me once in InWorldz.) And Linden-made ability to stop particles, lights, etc from rendering. Anything client-side can't be controlled by other people, which means you can't control how other people see you.

As for the forced flying, if I'm a dragon, a PennySnatcher, or any of my other winged avatars, heck yes I'm going to fly. Besides, it's client side, and as has already been stated, LL made it possible to fly regardless of no-fly land settings.

Uhh..yeah, just here to say that, no, Emerald isn't trying to get 'excempt' from the TPV, and yes, the plan is to release a compliant viewer til the 30th and to get registered.

That is all.

Hahah...um. Yes?

Basically our currently plan is to re-base Emerald from 1.23 to Snowglobe 1.3, and to backport 2.0 features (except the user interface).

Then we wait and work with that, until LL releases 2.1..which should, hopefully, be a Viewer 2 version with a good chunk of bugs removed. -Then- we will re-base Emerald to 2.1, while trying to keep the old user interface. Or making it switchable.

chalice, from many who would have to do some serious thinking if emerald decided to use just the 2.0 interface...THANK YOU!

I love emerald and am glad to hear they are going to try to get onto the registry. But the best part? They are going to try to keep the current interface or at least make it an option.

2.0 scares the hell out of me. took me a year to learn the current interface. I can't see me sticking around to take yet another year to learn yet another new interface.

Midori makes about as much sense as a cat with a lime on it's head.

Lemons are actually quite sensible.

Talking The ACTUAL answer you seek is here

I quote:

Regarding our intentions, people keep asking about whats the plan with Emerald, so here is the general outline:

We are currently working on combining the current Emerald feature set with the Snowglobe 1.3 sourcebase, once finished we will backport all the more desirable features of "viewer 2.0" such as tattoo and alpha layers, inventory links, etc.

Having used SL2; my friends and I
(all long time residents)
went back to Emerald

Not sure LL will go for that.

"Works Right" would fall under "surprising functionality not expected in a LL viewer" prohibition clause right?

As I said, it is always better to read the TPV before starting "interpretations"

Chalice, please please please make the llDialog menus able to be large without scroll bars like viewer 2 even in your viewer 1 skin. Decent looking menus are difficult enough without two types of menu displays.

See Psyke Phaeton's Blog for examples of nicer menus in viewer 2.

I agree here. llDialog is one (of very few) part of the UI they actually did a good job on. The buttons became bigger and more text space was added, afaik

do import that change
