I've seen a couple people pull this one of late:

1) Find a cheap estate parcel, like L$1 buy (thanks, land search

) with L$1500/wk tier
2) Buy it without paying tier
3) List it for sale at a big markup with an amazingly low tier rate. "Land Special: 4096m - L$5000, only L$1000/mo tier!")

pablo Kaptane was the most recent guy to pull this. I wish I'd noted the previous, but at least I got an AR in.

Keep an eye on those parcels a while. I've seen some landlords take a few days to handle tier/owner mismatches. You could be enabling more of this crap.

This is an old stunt and L$1 land listings are magnets for people who pull these stunts. I'm not a fan of L$1 listings in the first place, they're often misleading.

Yeah. I really wish that land were listed at L$-per-meter-per-day or similar for estates. There's got to be a better way.

I actually saw one island that had a bot that instantly reclaimed the land and sent a note to the owner on purchasing. So one is unknowingly paying L$1 to page the landlord, who may or may not show up that evening.
