But it was a literate and articulate pass made by a woman, so I'm still missing out on the "hai! lol, u wanna fuck?" experience so near and dear to everyone's SL. I guess I just don't make the grade. I can count the ham-handed passes made on me in SL on one hand. It's very rare. Not that I'm complaining.

Huh, so according to that study I'm the odd one out. I tend to initiate conversations with avatars that I find interesting. If I see someone who has made their human avatar plump, or in a non-white skin, or an interesting non-human avatar I tend to gravitate to them.

Call me shallow, but I tend to avoid men with tiny hands and heads and giant packages, and women approaching 8 feet in height with the sliders maxed left or right.

What I've found is that when men dress/play as women, they tend to do the caricature-of-a-woman thing. Probably due to lack of experience being a woman, or maybe lack of experience.. with women. *shrug*

It just seems to emulate or compensate for lack of femininity. Extra long legs, huge breasts. The thing that I think most guy-in-girl av's miss is the lack of hips. But I see a lot of women do that too. I think it probably has to do with trying to emulate being "slender" as a feminine quality.

edited to add.

I think its just what happens when you try and be something you dont have a whole lot of experience with. You tend to stick with the things that you do know.. which are typically the stereotypes :/

I've met a LOT of people who try and pass off *GiGGLeZ* crap as some sort of super-girlish bimbo hyper-femininity. urgh.

I don't understand that at all...I see that curved slope from waist to hips as an even more feminine quality than breasts.

I think that for a lot of men(who want to be female) and women (who want to be thinner), being full figured, and having hips might be seen as... less feminine, or less desirable than being proportioned like a 5'11, 105lb supermodel. or alternatively, a really thin girl with huge tits.

Sure, but the article had a lot to do with appearance, which is what we're discussing.

I completely don't understand people who giggle throughout their chat. It makes them appear deranged.

It always makes me wonder if they're really that.. out of touch with what it is to be cutesy and girly. Its like something horrific out of a schoolgirl porno. :/

I find this to be too broad of a statement.
I know quite a few r/l females who play female AV's that you and many others would assume to be male r/l.

Being female r/l doesn't mean they are any less likely to be ditzy, have garish (what I consider garish) av's or giant tits.

Many like being something they aren't r/l.

Beebo, I can't imagine that the kind of guy who throws those sorts of passes paying attention to you...unless he was just randomly IM'ing without looking at avs or profiles.

Me, on the other hand - except for the minor detail that I'm not your type.

Info centres, any sim with "free sex" in the keywords. dance clubs that feature strippers or offer escort sevives, places lots of new players gather, freebie stores.

Its actualy fairly easy to avoid if you pick your hangouts with care.

Another tip off for me on guy playing girl just for tittilation are people who port in naked and the first thing out of thier mouths is "anyone want to have sex with me?"

Touchy, huh?

There's nothing "wrong" about it. You can't go through life without making assumptions, it's the way brains work. It's only wrong if you use assumptions to treat people unfairly.
