Well not really, but I was shopping a Dernier Cri about half an hour ago and I had to take this pic.

I use the Emerald Viewer and it says my av is 5'10. I suppose this is pretty short for SL. Do you know what height your av is?

Used to be 6 foot. Shapes change over time. Various rolling restart effects etc. Seems to affect the jaw settings the most. Recently everyone's hands have swollen up and to get them to look reasonable requires 0 settings now.

Grow, be huge, and like it. So you will size match all the no mod content made by LL's GSP "professional Avatar Services" that make black/chrome and the same tired black suit content for the "enterprise class".

I've never worried about what supposed height my avatar is. I made her look how I want her to look and left it at that.

I feel that SL is an imaginary world so why limit myself to what other people consider as a 'scale'.
I don't equate 1m in SL to 1 meter in real life.

I'd prefer that more people had no sense of scale, there'd be less pressure for people to conform. I'd rather see each as a unique individual/creation.

I used to measure in at 7' on those avatar height things. I have noticed that, while Sans and I used to be of a proportionate height for a couple, it seems like she has shrunk recently, though she hasn't changed her shape, to where she looks like a little kid next to me these days. ZOMG, AGEPLAY!!!

I haven't measured me in a while. I always tinker a bit with the shape. I will look at it next time I am in on Emerald. I am sure I am over 6'. Just to wear the superhigh N-Core shoes, or flat sandals, makes me look a head different. In flat shoes I feel on the smallish side.

I like to say as a thumb rule, I am never the tallest or shortest female when I TP into a small crowd, like on the Friday sale. (unless I have on the superhigh heels

)

Oh, do you know if Emerald measure your avatar body without shoes? I would think so? Saves time so I don't have to take off the shoes.

I used to be 7 ft according to the height measures... took it down to 6-6 when Margo and I began doing couples dances... and our height difference is about proportionate to our RL difference.

I don't see the problem with being any height you like - other than scale when you interact with others. I have lots of shorter friends and taller ones, too.

I used to be 8'10"

It's hard to tower over everyone when everyone else is as tall as possible

I seem to have shrank lately to 8'3" and I haven't made any changes to my shape other than tweaking the face.

I'm supposed to be tall on my main and one of my alts. One of me is an ancient Vampire, the other is a High Elf. If he keeps shrinking, He's going to be no more than a friggen house elf -.-

I'm 5'8" without shoes, but the new Tesla Vixens which I constantly wear push me over 6'. Like Roxanne, the most important thing to me is to be a proportional height with my partner, Dani, as we love to dance. Almost all our friends tower over us. Having the height shown in Emerald is so great as I can tweak my shape, I can easily stay about the same height without having to go out of Appearance and use a height detector.

That's me on the left. And I am not short. It's been a while since I touched a height detector, but I think I am about the same as Ann -6'9" or so.

Emerald measures you from the ground to the top of your head, not including prims, so it counts shoe height but not hair. I checked by comparing it with an actual rezzed prim that I stretched to my exact height. Presumably other viewers with height measurement do the same?

I'm 6'4" which is pretty short for a guy on SL. Then again I'm pretty short for a guy in RL too. I go to gigs inworld a lot and I'm often the shortest guy there.

Last time I checked I think I came in at 6'1" or something like that, not sure if it was with or without shoes. When I first started (gad, 3 years already!), I was probably closer to 8'. Before I discovered the sliders.

Rez a prim to measure. 1 meter is 1 meter. Scripts can only get agent eye height and fake the rest with estimated math. (^_^)

For tall avatars: There's nothing wrong with being tall, just admit to it before going off on "kid" avatars that don't scale up to your 7'10" "normal" standard. (^_^)y
