From her notecard it does kind of seem like a legitimate complaint, if her resources are indeed being compromised like she says.

But, she does seem like a complete loon and I don't know the other side of the story. If it was me and it bothered me that much, I'd just move.

I sent an alt to check on the Bear hub, since its where we rezzed in SL. Lias and an alt (I assume an alt) were both at the Bear hub with the longest multiline titlers I have ever seen complaining about the wall. Just to check, there were 22 on the sim, pleanty of capacity. I had to leave before I could get pictures.

I went there just a bit ago, such a horrid build, no wonder they put a wall up. I ran into Lias, her bots, which she claims she doesn't know what one is she has 3 of them at the infohub btw, she admitted that.

Since the chatlog is tl:dr, I'll break it down into a somewhat legible summary

My point: The wall is not hurting anyone, it's not griefing since it's phantom, and only textured on one side. The lag and the constant traffic would be a problem, yes, but in the end, her lub lags more than the infohub, and she can't really controll what others do.

Her point, sorta, ok, so this is me translating from Lias, aka crazy club lady, into english:

She owns land in the sim so can tell everyone else how to do things.


The wall is griefing since people can't see her ever so lovely club, you know, the one with the giant legs, the lag, and oh yeah, the camping spots.

The lindens are griefers because they put an info hub up, on land not owned by her, on thier own damn servers...

ok, yeah, that's basically it i think, she has a point, but it's hidden behind a 3 year old whining because she can't have cookies before dinner


She often forgets that she says things, for example, she kept going on about how she never told me how much land she owned, when in fact, she did. I had to quote it back to her.

By the time i got bored, we were drawing a crowd, it was quite funny, except the mild migraine i have from trying to actually understand her...


Oh, I almost forgot, did you know that if 30 people camped at her club it would use less resources than 30 people at an infohub?

Astounding, it really is, I didn't know the system worked that way, I wonder why it doesn't work that way at the Shelter on sunday formals...

I believe this is the same person who threw a fit about a club named Club Voodoo that was on the New Orleans themed estate I help to manage. It was a goth club made to look like a New Orleans cemetery with the above ground crypts. It very much fit the theme of the estate. Shortly after opening the owner and then me and the estate owner started getting IM's demanding we close it or rename it because Voodoo could not be used by anyone else. None of us had ever heard of Voodoo Lounge and we just ignored her and she went away. The club went on to have a good 5 or 6 month run before the owner went on to other things.

It's good she makes it easy to find the Bear info hub by putting it in her picks. It just seems like anyone who would put that much effort into complaining for years might put a picture of teh horror...but set the pick oh- to their club or something.

I logged in an alt to work on her profile, and went to a random place in Bear- which turned out to be right in front of that club. Those legs alone may have blinded my alt back into hiding. It's down the road AND across the bridge from the hub. Granted, her other stuff is across the road from there but even those builds look like something any RL zoning would have yanked the fronts off of.

The infohub build is more to my taste than anything else around there. I haven't really figured out the appeal of the hubs, but I tend to be shy enough that crowds make me squirm. I just don't find it appealing to hear peoples voice conversations, but that may be more out of difficulty hearing it outside of a personal call.

Three years is a lot of unharnised hostility to carry around in a pixelated "Mexican standoff". Every diatribe has left me feeling compelled to go be a squatter, even for a little while.

I'm too lazy to go wade through all her posts on official forum, but wasn't she the person that said the very reason she acquired that particular land near the infohub was to generate traffic for her school? If that's the case, seems her bitching about traffic has backfired on her in a big way.

The wall is phantom, so you can walk through it, and on top of that, the texture is only on the infohub side.

I'd put up a wall too if I had to look at that thing with legs all the time...

Well yeah, Bear was a telehub before it was converted to the infohub. And the beef with the infohub conversion seems to be mostly that older residents congregate there. It probably is a bad thing to have older residents around that infohub, if you're trying to sell things of questionable value to newcomers before they become more informed.

So ravenelle being married to Torley in RL allows her to rez a grief wall in a infohub to punish her perceived enemies. Her aim is a little off because she griefed every tier payer in the sim to harass Ryan and myself. But Chief sim remains visible at least.

To clarify: Nothing is across from the infohub and has not been for months(Although ravenelle has not been appointed texture police as far as I know) - her wall ran Ryan out of a business he had there since 2006. My plots are down the road and across the bridge - and have been since there was no road or telehub in Bear (2005).

The fact that Linden Lab enlists the assistance of a non-employee to harass tier paying customers is what the problem is. Love it or hate it - that is what is going on in Bear. And will continue to be publicized until it is rectified. See you all at SL6B.
