I know I'm a style schizophrenic

I really like to dress up. This was a hard pic to shoot for me, since my computer stubbornly wouldn't render the skirt. It stayed gray for what felt like ages.


I was putting on this dress yesterday. It's pure love! Not so expensive either, 350 L isn't bad. I love the colors. It has wide poofy sleeves too, but they don't work well with lifted arms.


The skin is a group gift, and I didn't like it much when I put it on first. But it's winning on me. I like the mouth better and better.


Two poses are from Sylva's animation factory. I bought them a year ago, and went back to see if she was still in business. I couldn't find these poses. That's a shame, or wasn't I looking well enough? I used "stock-spear 001" and "stock-sword 001". They work well with other weapons too.

Skin: Vive9, groupgift. Join group and check notices. Remember they don't stay more than 14 days, and probably just a week left now
Eyes: PC Golden Beach
Hair: ETD Sonia, bands tinted
Cleavage: Ayumi
Tatto: Garden of Ku, "Night in Kandahar"
Helmet, collar and nose band aid: The Hat Mechanic, "Last Rites". Fabulous prim work. Also a bandage, not shown.
Gown: Laughing Academy "Katinka Steampunk Gown"
Half Gloves: from the *League* set "Bella Desastre"
Upper arms: from the *League* set Steampunk Apocalypse v.2
Lower arms: Moloko Punkrock cuffs
Impressive gun: T3 (Terminal 3 Armory)UP-1 Aetherbeam Pistol. I love the work, even if I never roleplay.

TY Grady. You and Mourna are always "true" to your style. I am more bouncing into all styles. It's sometimes a blessing, I always find something I like no matter what mood. It's sometimes a curse... my inventory is terrible. If I don't remember part of the name and can search for it, I'm lost....

I think it's a blessing. You can slip into any aesthetic, identify quality pieces, and put together a cohesive and wonderful look.

Whereas I can try to do something completely different and still be told it's the same style. (which is also not a bad thing I guess, I just wish I could break out of it sometimes.)

When I've run into this problem, I select to edit a surface's texture on the skirt (or whatever). That seems to get the asset server's attention and it finally deigns to supply the needed texture to all the prims that want it. I don't know if it would work on a no-mod item, though, since--of course--the editor texture page doesn't show a texture thumbnail.

I love this outfit, Marianne. Did you build it from the helmet out, so to speak? It's wonderfully Steampunk meets Vogue.
