Haven't done one in awhile, and this is a bit off the cuff, but I have to share these shoes and the shirt!

Skin: Osiris 3[b] from the Abyss
Hair: Lestat II from Jolie Femme
Shirt: Isis (Dark blue) from Zaara (bought the fat pack of these, they're gorgeous)
Tattoo: No Retreat from INflict
Pants: Leather pants (silver) from Adam n Eve
Shoooooez: M110 (blue lo shine) from Adam n Eve.

Ten colors of those shoes, six very shiny, four in the lo shine. Including pearl hi shines which go very well with my Travoltaesque white suit from Four Yip.

I wonder if Gisaci has a white suit for men? Shop Armidi was all sorts of broken for me last night.

ETA: I meant to mention that the hair is no mod and, if I hadn't been having an overwhelming attack of "Pretty!" which negatively affected my reading skills, I probably wouldn't have bought it. The hair color is fine - no tinting necessary - and there weren't any prims that fit oddly on my head shape, but I was sorely disappointed to not be able to color the scarf to match my dress when the scripted options were insufficient. I understand that resize scripts are helpful for newer Residents, but I still think the prims should be left mod for the rest of us, especially since no mod really doesn't protect the creator much.

I created my own skin about four years ago. I have made some changes over the years, but for the most part my skin and my shape have not changed very much. I am not sure why, but I feel very attached to my appearance and I have a very hard time making changes. I do get compliments and I enjoy having a unique look. Still, there are some things about my skin that I do not like and I am not sure I have the time, or the skill, to fix the problems.

Because I didn't photosource my skin, and mostly hand-shaded it, the skin lacks detail. In some ways I like this aspect, it gives me a somewhat surreal look. Still areas around my nose and ears, hands and feet, and portions rarely seen, are not as detailed as I would like. In order to compensate for this lack of detail in the face, I went a bit nuts with the makeup. I used too much dark eyeliner and lipstick. I think it's pretty, but its also a bit much.

Over the years I have purchased as many as 50 different skins, trying to find something that looked attractive on my shape, and still seem "me enough." I really have not been happy with any commercial skin, and so I have not been able to make a change.

Recently however, I did find a skin, in a Japanese sim, that does appeal to me. I think it looks nice on my shape, the makeup is much more subtle, and it doesn't change my overall appearance too dramatically. It has a softer, sweeter look that seems truer to me than my own skin. And yet, like my own skin, it lacks some detail and gives me the less than photo-realistic appearance that makes me happy. So I am thinking of making a change.

What do you think? I snapped these pictures in a hurry this morning before work, so they aren't so good, but I did get them in a couple of different lighting conditions. I also changed my eye color, which is usually dark brown (like real life), to blue in the first couple of pictures.

I think it makes you look younger! The lips seem much softer in the new skin and it does not change your face at all. I like the lighter skin tone of the avatar pic with your hair, but only slightly so. The new skin still has a nice contrast where the hair helps frame your face in a way that is very flattering to your shape. I like them both very much. I would say you have found a nice addition to your previous skin. Wear the one you made when you wish to appear more studious or businesslike. Wear the new one when you want to look softer and approachable.
